结题展上,一个个精心布置的展区仿佛是孩子们探索世界的窗口,一张张自信的脸庞透露着学生们收获成长的自豪。这是一场知识与创意的盛宴,汇聚了学生们的智慧与努力,展示了他们在探究之路上的成长与收获,让我们跟随镜头一起去看看吧。

In this season brimming with vitality and hope, the PYP inquiry exhibition of the primary school recently made a splendid appearance. At the exhibition, each meticulously arranged booth seemed like a window into the students’ exploration of the world, and the confident faces revealed the pride of the students in their growth and achievements. It was a feast of knowledge and creativity, gathering the wisdom and efforts of the children, showcasing their growth and gains on the path of inquiry. Let's follow the lens to take a look.

Grade1 一年级

Trans-disciplinary theme: Who we are

超学科主题:我们是谁

Central idea: Family relationships contribute to shaping our identity.

中心思想:家庭关系有助于形成我们的身份认同


一年级通过一首提及核心家庭成员名字的歌曲向观众介绍了探究单元:家庭。


他们还通过歌唱家庭中的爱以及他们如何表达彼此之间的爱,表达了对家庭的关怀。几个小组通过分享一首诗,解释家谱、家庭故事,并展示他们自己的画作,带领观众了解他们的家庭。热情的观众激励了参展者,让他们为自己的成就感到自豪。

Grade 1 introduced the audience to the Unit of Inquiry: Family, with a song mentioning the names of each family member of the nuclear family. They also expressed their care for their family by singing about love in the family and how they express that love for one another. Several groups led the audience into their families by sharing a poem, explaining family trees, family stories, and displaying their own drawings.The enthusiastic audience inspired the exhibitors, filling them with pride in their accomplishments.

Grade2 二年级

Trans-disciplinary theme: Sharing the Planet

超学科主题:共享地球

Central idea: Animals need to adapt to the environment for existence.

中心思想:动物需要适应环境来生存


二年级本学期第一次“共享地球”结题展顺利进行,同学们带来了动物课本剧、十二生肖武术表演和动物诗歌表演,展现了他们对动物的热爱与理解。


小组展示环节,同学们深入探讨了濒危动物的生活习性,并带来了动物玩具及家里养的小动物进行现场展示,让大家更加直观地感受到动物适应环境生存的重要性。


此外,同学们还前往海边捡拾垃圾,呼吁大家共同保护动物,营造美好生态环境。此次结题展不仅丰富了同学们的课余生活,更激发了他们保护动物的热情。

The first "Sharing the Planet" exhibition of the second grade this semester was successfully held. Students present animal textbook dramas, a martial arts performance of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals, and animal poetry performances, showcasing their love and understanding for animals. In the group presentation segment, students delved into the habits of endangered species and brought animal toys and small pets from home for a live display, allowing everyone to more vividly feel the importance of animals adapting to their environment for survival. Additionally, students went to the beach to pick up trash, calling on everyone to protect animals and create a beautiful ecological environment together. This exhibition not only enriched the students' extracurricular life but also ignited their passion for animal protection.

Trans-disciplinary theme: How we express ourselves

超学科主题:我们如何表达自己

Central idea: Learning about art, we can be inspired to create our own.

中心思想:对艺术作品的学习有助于我们进行艺术创作


在本轮探究结题展中,三年级的每个学生都是一名探险者,用好奇的眼光打量着这个世界,用心灵去感受、去创作、去表达。


音乐组、彩绘组、扎染组、服装设计组、陶瓷组、书法组、折纸组、彩泥组的学生们化身为小小艺术家,自信地讲解自己创作的艺术作品,并且耐心地教小小观众制作相关的艺术作品,让参观的小观众学到了不少东西,场面十分热闹,学生十分投入。在这个过程中,三年级的学生学会了如何用艺术来表达自己,如何通过艺术来理解世界。这不仅仅是一段学习之旅,更是一段自我发现之旅。在艺术的世界里,每个人都可以找到属于自己的那片星空。

In this round of the inquiry exhibition, every student in the third grade is an explorer, looking at the world with curious eyes, feeling, creating, and expressing with their hearts. Students from the music, painting, tie-dye, fashion design, ceramics, calligraphy, origami, and clay groups transformed into little artists, confidently explaining their own artistic creations and patiently teaching young visitors to make related artworks. This allowed the visiting young audience to learn a lot, making the scene very lively and the students very engaged. In this process, the third-grade students learned how to express themselves through art and how to understand the world through art. This is not only a journey of learning but also a journey of self-discovery. In the world of art, everyone can find their own piece of the starry sky.

Grade4 四年级

Trans-disciplinary theme: How we express ourselves

超学科主题:我们如何表达自己 

Central idea: The media influences our thinking and decision-making.

中心思想:传媒会影响到我们的思维和决策能力


四年级的结题展中,各小组围绕着自己感兴趣的话题进行深入研究,有的小组用思维导图的形式介绍了媒体的各种形式和演变;有的对新媒体剪辑如此如醉,跃跃欲试;有的小组对“广告”如何吸引顾客进行“解剖”;他们还尝试整理自己的假期活动,制作成《旅行时光》手册。


学生们还积极行动,利用不同的媒体形式,介绍学校的功能分区,为学校进行宣传、“代言”。有的小组展示无人机拍摄学校场景的画面,播放小组制作的宣传视频。有的小组利用纸质传媒介绍学校食堂时,还对食品安全和珍惜粮食等理念进行推广。在这个过程中学生对“传媒会影响到我们的思维和决策能力”有了更深刻的理解。

In the exhibition of the fourth grade, each group delved into topics that interested them. Some groups introduced the various forms and evolution of media using mind maps; others were fascinated by and eager to try their hand at new media editing. One group dissected how "advertisements" attract customers; they also attempted to organize their holiday activities into a "Travel Time" handbook. The students actively used different media forms to introduce the functional areas of the school, promoting and "endorsing" it. Some groups showcased drone footage of the school and played promotional videos they had produced. When introducing the school cafeteria through print media, some groups also promoted the concepts of food safety and the importance of cherishing food. Throughout this process, the students gained a deeper understanding of how "media can influence our thinking and decision-making abilities."

Grade5 五年级

Trans-disciplinary theme: Where we are in place and time

超学科主题:我们身处什么时空

Central idea: Past civilizations shape and affect present society. 

中心思想:古代文明影响着当今社会


在本轮探究结题展中,五年级学生以《逃离大英博物馆》为蓝本,选取小玉壶等珍贵文物为原型,深度挖掘文物背后蕴含的丰富信息,并将古埃及、古巴比伦、古希腊以及中国等古老文明中具有深远影响的元素融入剧本创作,精心打造出一部主题为“逃离大英博物馆——文明之旅”的精彩剧本。


他们亲自动手制作道具,用心雕琢每一个细节,为观众呈现了一台别具一格、别开生面的舞台剧表演。

In this round of the inquiry exhibition, the fifth-grade students took "Escaping the British Museum" as their blueprint. They selected precious cultural relics such as the small jade pot as prototypes and delved deeply into the rich information behind the relics. They integrated elements from ancient civilizations with far-reaching influences, such as Egypt, Babylon, Greece, and China, into their script creation. They meticulously crafted an exciting play titled "Escaping the British Museum - A Journey of Civilization." The students made props by hand and meticulously carved every detail, presenting the audience with a unique and innovative stage play performance.

第一轮探究结题展虽然已经结束,但同学们的求知征途方才启程。我们矢志不渝地呵护孩子们与生俱来的好奇心与探索欲,引领他们去领略丰富多彩的世界文化,不断追求新知,让学生的未来拥有更多的可能。

Although the first round of exploration and conclusion exhibition has ended, the students' journey of seeking knowledge has just begun.
