唐山一中梁静仪学姐开设”海外回音”专栏

亲爱的学妹、学弟们：

你们好！我是你们的学姐梁静仪。我于2020年6月在唐山一中中加国际班毕业，目前在加拿大麦吉尔大学就读。很高兴在唐山一中国际部公众号上和大家“见面”！

2024年秋季，我将开启麦吉尔大学材料工程专业的带薪实习项目组的第五年学业（嘿嘿，想不到吧，麦吉尔工科生要从0年级开始读起，和打算来麦吉尔读工程的小伙伴们提前”预警”）。

回看绚烂多彩又时光飞逝的高中三年和大学四年，我感觉很多事就像发生在昨天，比如高中创立的首个中加国际班志愿者团队、大学的六次工作经历（两次助教、四次科研）和多次志愿者活动。这七年，走过“花路”，也走过弯路，但对我而言，所有的经历都是人生最宝贵的财富。为了让学妹学弟们更好了解海外留学生活，我计划在我们国际部公众号开设一个专栏，“海外回音~静仪学姐眼中的留学生活”，带大家提前了解留学生活的点滴，避开我走的弯路，遇见更多坦途！

我大学四年的活动场景更多在麦吉尔大学所在的城市——蒙特利尔，所以我会以麦吉尔大学和蒙特利尔这个城市为例，和大家聊学习、聊生活、聊美食探店和美景欣赏。

当然，我还会邀请更多学姐、学长加入到这个交流活动中来，让大家可以了解更多大学、城市、国家的留学生活。我也热切期待学妹学弟们将你们关注的问题、期待了解的话题与我分享，我们会汇总”热门话题”和大家进行交流。

Dear my younger schoolmates,

How is your school life going so far?

I am Jingyi Liang who graduated from Tangshan No.1 High School Sino-Canadian Program in June 2020. In Fall 2024, I will start Year 4 at McGill Materials Engineering Co-op program. It’s great to “meet” you through our program’s WeChat official account!

(For those of you who are planning to come to McGill Engineering Faculty, I know you are familiar, but a short refresher is always welcome: non-CEGEP students begin from Year 0, and it will be a roughly five-years bachelor’s degree.)

Time flies. I cannot believe seven years had passed since I first entered Tangshan No.1 High School Sino-Canadian program, while those fabulous stories seemed happen just yesterday. For example, I initiated our school’s first Sino-Canadian Volunteer group in 2018 and continued voluntary work until today; worked at McGill for six times (being TA twice and doing research four times). These years, I won, or I gained; they are all my valuable experiences.

I know how difficult the start was as new arrivals, so I would love to start a special column in our WeChat official account to bring you more ideas about study and life abroad. As most of my stories took place at McGill in Montreal, I’ll mainly use my university and its city to expand, but for sure, I will invite more upper year students from different universities and countries to join. I hope our sharing can make you feel at ease even before you start your abroad journey.
