CISH students will attend Oxford University summer program


At the Canadian International School of Hefei (CISH), we are committed to providing our students with meaningful opportunities to showcase their abilities, pursue academic excellence, and grow as internationally minded citizens. One such opportunity was participation in the distinguished Oxford Essay Writing Competition, a platform that challenges students to think critically and articulate their ideas with clarity and purpose.


合肥加拿大外籍人员子女学校 (CISH),我们致力于为学生提供各种有意义的机会,让他们展示自己的能力,追求学术卓越,并成长为具有国际视野的公民。其中一个机会就是参加著名的牛津论文写作比赛,这是一个挑战学生批判性思考并清晰明确地表达自己想法的平台。



As part of the application process, students were required to submit letters of intent, outlining their motivations for entering the competition and explaining how receiving a scholarship to the Oxford Summer Programme would contribute to their personal and academic growth.


作为申请流程的一部分,学生需要提交意向书,概述他们参加比赛的动机,并解释获得牛津暑期课程奖学金将如何促进他们的个人和学术成长。


We are pleased to announce that two of our students, Jackson Shi and Kyuri Kim, have been awarded high merit and a partial scholarship to attend the Oxford Summer Programme. This recognition is a testament to their dedication, intellectual rigor, and ambition. We are immensely proud to have such remarkable individuals representing CISH.


我们很高兴地宣布,我们的两名学生 Jackson Shi 和 Kyuri Kim 获得了优异成绩和部分奖学金,将参加牛津暑期课程。这一认可证明了他们的奉献精神、严谨的治学态度和雄心壮志。我们非常自豪有如此杰出的人才代表 CISH。


Jackson’s essay analyzed whether poetry should be difficult to understand, showcasing his ability to interpret complex texts and critically reflect on the role of language and artistic expression. Kyuri’s essay on the militarization of space technology demonstrated her capacity to explore interdisciplinary issues, including global security, ethics, and technological advancement. Both essays highlighted their intellectual engagement and ability to address diverse perspectives.
