喜报 丨首次参赛即斩佳绩!弘科学子AMC竞赛大放异彩
在近期举办的Australian Mathematics Competition(简称AMC)澳大利亚数学竞赛中,中山市弘科未来学校国际化融合高中的学子们取得了卓越成就,14位参赛者中有13人荣获奖项。
其中,11人摘得了全国数学技能奖的桂冠,另有两位学生分别在高一年级和高二年级中脱颖而出,荣获全国三等奖。尤为值得一提的是,所有获奖学生均为首次参赛便斩获佳绩,实现了开门红。
澳洲AMC是澳大利亚数学竞赛(Australian Mathematics Competition)的简称,由Australian Mathematics Trust(AMT)澳大利亚数学联合会全权主办,目前是全球最大的校际数学测评活动之一。适合3-12年级学生参加,而且澳洲AMC数学竞赛难度由简到难,非常适合新手同学参加。
全球共有来自32个国家的1600多万学生参与到该活动。该竞赛旨在为学生提供一个展示数学技能的平台,包括基础知识、应用和数学思维能力,培养学生的创造性思维。
AMC的测评范围涵盖了多个方面,可以全方位地考察学生数学水平的广度和深度,是一块真正的“试金石”。
国际化融合高中部于九月初迎来了新学期的开学,而与此同时,一场重要的竞赛也悄然临近,其报名截止日期定于九月中旬,紧接着在月末举行正式考试。在这样紧凑的时间框架内,教师们面临着开学初期繁重的培训与教学双重任务。
尽管如此,国际化融合高中部的教职员工依然不遗余力地为学生们挤出时间,进行针对性的训练并及时解答他们的疑惑。即便是在缺乏直接参赛经验和面对时间压力的情况下,学生们和教师们都从这一过程中宝贵地汲取了知识与经验。
经过师生们的奋力冲刺与不懈努力,国际化融合高中部在本次竞赛中取得了辉煌成就——12位参赛选手中,有11人荣耀获奖,展现了团队的卓越实力与深厚底蕴。
尤为值得一提的是,我校五年级的杰出学生,勇敢地跨级别挑战并参与了七年级的竞赛,不仅成功参与,还荣获了数学技能奖,其出色表现令人赞叹不已,真正诠释了“少年智则国智,少年强则国强”的精神风貌。
展望未来,国际化融合高中部正蓄势待发,即将迎来一系列国际科学竞赛的新征程。我们满怀信心与期待,相信他们定能凭借过往的积累与不懈追求,再次突破自我,创造更加辉煌的战绩,为校争光,续写荣耀篇章!
This September, students from international high school (IHS) dept. of ACZS achieved remarkable outcomes in Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC): 13 candidates out of 14 have won awards. Specifically, 11 students win the National Mathematics Proficiency Award and two win the National 3rd place. Notably, even in their debut in the international competition, they were still able to put a notch in the belt.
The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) is a yearly mathematics competition organised by the Australian Maths Trust (AMT), designed for students from year 3 to year 12 across Australia and internationally, aiming to challenge and develop problem-solving skills through unique questions created by leading educators; it is considered Australia's longest-running and most prominent school-level math competition, first held in 1978.
More than 16 million students from 32 countries around the world participated in this event. The competition aims to provide students with a platform to showcase their mathematical skills, including foundational knowledge, application, and mathematical thinking, while fostering their creative thinking abilities.
AMC covers multiple aspects, providing a comprehensive evaluation of the breadth and depth of students' mathematical abilities, making it a true "touchstone" of mathematical proficiency.

The IHS started school on September 2, with the registration for this competition closing on September 18 and the official exam taking place on September 28. Despite the short preparation and the need to balance orientation and teaching tasks, the teachers in IHS worked tirelessly to tutor students.

After the relentless efforts of teachers and students, IHS achieved a comprehensive victory:11 award winners out of 12. Additionally, a fifth-grade student competed in the seventh-grade category and won the National Mathematics Proficiency Award, showcasing remarkable skills beyond his years.
Looking ahead, IHS students will be taking a series of international science competitions. We eagerly anticipate their continued excellence and further achievements!
