值感恩节来临之际，为弘扬中华民族的传统美德，培养学生们的志愿服务精神，11月28日下午，徐州市华顿学校国际高中部全体学生走进徐州市特殊教育中心，以“关爱特殊学校儿童，传递爱心公益精神”为主题开展志愿活动，为这里的孩子送去温暖，以一种有意义的方式来庆祝感恩节。

To carry forward the traditional virtues of China, and to cultivate the students’ spirit of voluntary service, on the afternoon of November 28th, high school students from Walton International School Xuzhou visited the Xuzhou Special Education Centre. This extra-curricular project was designed so that students could spend time and bring festive cheer to children dealing with special needs. The students found this to be a very meaningful way to celebrate the season.

活动过程中，同学们和小朋友们一起做游戏、一起学习，用不同的方式交流着，他们也十分配合。同学们教小朋友拼图、识字，并一起动手制作圣诞树，整个过程大家都十分开心。最后，同学们给小朋友们送出自己准备的礼物，糖果、零食、文具等礼物承载着浓浓的温情，小小的礼物都令小朋友们十分开心。

Our students and the children played games together, studied together, and even learned some sign language to find new ways to communicate with each other. Our students taught the children puzzles and literacy; and afterward made a Christmas tree card together. Watching the students celebrate the new year with songs and dancing was a joy to watch. Finally, our students sent gifts to the children; candy, snacks, stationery and other gifts were warmly given. These small gifts made the children very happy and they gratefully showed their thanks to the students for their kind gesture.

欢乐的时光总是短暂的，我们用手语表达了对孩子们美好的祝福，希望他们可以拥有美好的明天。通过这次活动，同学们学习到了“奉献、友爱、互助”的精神，更体会到志愿者的无私奉献和崇高服务的精神。同时，也使同学们了解了特殊儿童的生活，更加深切地感受到他们是需要关爱和帮助的。

In this short happy time spent together, we used sign language to express the good wishes to the children, with the hope they can have a better tomorrow. Through this activity, the students learned the spirit of "dedication, friendship and mutual assistance". What’s more, they experienced selflessness by spending time with these remarkable young children. At the end of the day our students got to understand the challenges that these children go through in their everyday life. We were all able to reflect and grow from this experience, taking on a valuable life lessons and examples that we can learn from in the future. We should stay positive and show kindness to others whenever we can!
