In Grade 1, students delved into the importance of nouns in sentences, understanding how they name people, animals, places, and things. In mathematics, they continued developing their skills in addition and subtraction, exploring new strategies for borrowing and carrying numbers. For their Unit of Inquiry, students concluded their exploration of expressing emotions and feelings through various creative mediums, including stories, music, writing, and drawing.

In Grade 3, the students have been exploring the concept of pitch and how sound waves vary depending on the pitch of the sounds produced. Additionally, they discovered that bamboo possesses remarkable growth potential and is capable of reaching impressive heights in a short period.


Grade 5 students delved into the text "Ancient People on Reading", exploring ancient methods and attitudes towards reading. They analysed the wisdom of scholars from the past, such as being humble and seeking truth from facts. This inspired them to reflect on their learning approaches to adopt more effective strategies and cultivate a more dedicated attitude towards their studies.

Chinese Maths

Chinese Maths

Grade 2 students delved into time concepts. They investigated how to read hours and minutes, and explored the connection between time and daily events. By asking questions and making observations, they developed a deeper understanding of the relationship between time and processes, enhancing their ability to apply this knowledge in real-life situations.                

In Grade 3, they embarked on a wonderful exploration of digital coding. They started their exploration with the ID card numbers. This seemingly complicated string of numbers also contains a lot of information. The first six digits are the address code, representing the place where the household registration is located; the following eight digits are the birth date code, from which they can identify a person's birthday; then the next three digits are the sequence code, among which odd numbers are assigned to males, and even numbers are assigned to females; and the last digit is the verification code.


During the exploration process, They learned to carefully observe the arrangement rules and position characteristics of numbers to understand the meaning represented by each number through analysing these rules. They not only got to know the wide application of digital coding in life, such as telephone numbers, license plate numbers, etc., but also understood how to use numbers to express various kinds of information concisely and accurately, which improves logical thinking ability and information organising ability.

在探索过程中,我们学会了仔细观察数字的排列规律和位置特点,通过分析这些规律来理解每个数字所代表的含义。不仅了解了数字编码在生活中的广泛应用,像电话号码、车牌号等,还懂得了如何用数字简洁、准确地表达各种信息,提高了我们的逻辑思维能力和信息整理能力。

This week students from Lower Primary explored how music affects their emotions and how they can express themselves with different styles of music. Upper primary has been enthusiastically investigating the different ways athletes communicate with each other by working together to complete challenges using a range of different communication.
