At ASJ Early Years, we pride ourselves in on creating an environment where children’s curiosity, creativity, and love for learning flourish. This commitment was recently celebrated during a special visit from international educators, who left inspired by the innovative practices and thoughtfully designed learning spaces that define our approach.

A Day of Discovery

Visiting teachers from various schools experienced an immersive day at ASJ Early Years, observing how we bring the principles of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Reggio Emilia philosophy to life. The day included:

Educators from other schools were introduced to the ASJ philosophy and its emphasis on child-centred, inquiry-driven learning.

Classroom Observations

(课堂观察)


The visiting teachers rotated through various different learning areas, including general classes in Foundation, K1, K2 and K3, Music, P.E., and Reading/Phonics, witnessing our youngsters engage with open-ended materials and collaborative projects.

来访教师们轮流参观了各个年级的常规课程,包括Foundation、K1、K2和K3,以及音乐课、体育课和阅读/拼读课,亲眼观察了孩子们使用开放式材料并积极参与合作项目。








Reflection and Dialogue

The day concluded with a reflective session, where visiting educators shared insights and explored how they might adapt these practices in their own schools.

Visitors were captivated by our learning spaces, designed to inspire exploration and independence. From natural, sensory-rich materials to thoughtfully organised resources, every corner of ASJ Early Years reflects the belief that the environment plays a vital role in children’s development.

Engaged and Empowered Learners

Teachers marvelled at the high levels of engagement among ASJ students. Through hands-on activities and opportunities for voice and choice, children demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity in every task.

老师们对 ASJ 学生的高度参与度印象深刻。通过实践操作活动以及表达意见和自主选择的机会,孩子们在每一项任务中都展现出了好奇心、批判性思维和创造力。

Seamless Integration of 

Indoor and Outdoor Learning

The seamless flow between indoor and outdoor environments was a highlight for many educators. Nature was not just a backdrop but an integral part of learning, fostering creativity and problem-solving while providing calming, aesthetic spaces.

许多教育工作者认为,室内与室外环境之间的无缝衔接是一大亮点。大自然不仅是背景,更是学习过程中不可或缺的一部分,它能激发创造力和解决问题的能力,同时提供宁静、美观的空间。

Collaboration at Every Level

Teachers noted how collaboration was deeply embedded—not just between students, but also between teachers and learners. The co-construction of learning spaces gave students a sense of ownership, further enhancing their engagement and independence.
