Adjust sleep schedule, return to regularity

In the week leading up to the start of school, everyone can gradually adjust their sleep schedule to be closer to that of school life, in order to adapt to the "jet lag" changes after school resumes. Making adjustments step by step not only reduces inner resistance and rejection, but also fills everyone with anticipation for the renewed campus life.

Eat regularly and exercise actively
Before the school semester begins, it is recommended that parents gradually adjust their children's diet by encouraging them to eat more fruits and vegetables, consume fewer snacks and candies, have regular meals, and avoid being picky or partial with food, in order to restore the regular eating habits they maintained at school as soon as possible. Parents should also let their children choose activity modes based on their own interests and living conditions, ensuring at least half an hour of physical exercise every day. Appropriate exercise can eliminate fatigue, increase blood oxygen levels in the brain, and is beneficial both physically and mentally.

Actively regain focus

With the school semester just around the corner, we should adopt a gentle and gradual strategy to refocus our attention and naturally transition back into the school routine. Consciously reduce entertainment activities and time spent on them, while increasing reading time and reasonably planning the usage time and scope of electronic devices.

How to control the frequency of electronic device usage? Here are some methods for your reference:
Firstly, implement the "isolation method." Create a quiet and comfortable learning environment to minimize distractions from unrelated stimuli.
Secondly, enrich leisure activities to divert attention. Engage in activities that are beneficial for both body and mind, such as the piano, singing, painting, reading, exercising, etc. Keeping busy can easily help one break free from addictions. If students feel they lack self-control, they can ask their parents for supervision and management.

Accept emotions and give positive suggestions
Before the start of school, some students may feel anxious or nervous. When these emotions arise, it is important to first "normalize" negative emotions. Blindly resisting or suppressing them will only immerse oneself deeper into negative emotions and negative thinking. Moderate anxiety and nervousness can help maintain a certain level of excitement, improve attention and reaction speed, and enhance enthusiasm for learning. Learn to accept emotions and let them be, focusing your attention on what needs to be done at present.
When you feel tense, irritable, or other such emotions, they can tell themselves, "Great! I'll get to see my classmates and teachers again when school starts. I'll participate in various campus activities and enjoy the wonderful times at school once more." Through similar positive psychological suggestions, one can enhance their sense of well-being and enter the new semester with high spirits.

Combine reality and formulate a plan
"Prepare for the worst, but hope for the best." At the beginning of the new semester, it is essential for parents and children to jointly formulate a detailed plan for the new semester, covering learning goals, personality development, interests and special skills, among other things. The content should be moderate and easy to implement, avoiding unrealistic ambitions. Set small goals and give a little reward upon achieving each one to maintain learning motivation and gradually find a learning pace that suits oneself.

Make a list and identify gaps to fill
Compile a comprehensive back-to-school checklist, including a homework checklist, a list of school supplies to prepare, and so on. When necessary, you can also purchase new "equipment" to create a sense of ceremony for the start of school and increase your anticipation for the new semester. At the same time, identify gaps and make improvements by not only consolidating your learning outcomes but also being good at asking questions and summarizing mistakes and doubts, so that you can consult teachers and classmates after returning to school. Additionally, you can also preview new knowledge to some extent, gaining a preliminary understanding of the content that will be learned, and having a clear understanding in your mind.
