From initial brainstorming to delivering their final speeches on stage, every student put in dedicated effort. They carefully selected topics, conducted research, learned speech structures, drafted and refined their content under the guidance of the boarding team and teachers. Through continuous practice and improvement, they gained mastery and confidence. Some students explored various aspects of the Chinese Spring Festival, sharing insights on its culture, origins, and unique customs. This process not only deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture but also expanded their English vocabulary on the festival’s themes.
Others chose "Sias IS Boarding Life" as their topic, reflecting on their daily experiences and the balance between independence and homesickness. They also discussed how boarding life fosters both academic growth and personal development. As one student expressed, “Although I often miss my family, boarding has made me more independent. I've learned to take care of myself, and my English has improved significantly…” .
