"Believe in yourself, create the future together" (Made to Move CommunitiesTM) Otis Campus Innovation Competition is organized by Otis, a world-renowned elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and service company, focusing on STEM education and empowering sustainable mobility, with the aim of tapping the innovative potential of young students. The fifth competition revolves around the theme of AI, hoping to inspire students to bring innovative changes to people's travel experience through AI technology. In the past four competitions, Otis has joined hands with hundreds of students around the world to jointly contribute to global hot issues.
The competition plan designed by our students, starting from the actual needs of daily life, carefully created a practical AI smart elevator that can truly bring convenience to the public. The plan integrates functions such as contactless ladder calls, smart seats, intelligent navigation and cloud safety, to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers' travel in an all-round way. At the same time, through the use of advanced language models, the multi-ladder collaboration algorithm is deeply optimized, which not only improves operation efficiency, but also achieves energy-saving goals. This AI smart elevator is not only an innovative technological achievement, but also a bold exploration of future intelligent travel, which is expected to bring more convenient, efficient and safe travel experience to the majority of users.
Multi-ladder collaborative algorithm is a core element for us to stand out in the competition. We use AI technology to accurately classify the operating status of elevators and carry out innovative algorithmic practices for each subcategory. Taking peak hours as an example, after investigation, it was found that the frequent "station stops" of elevators and frequent switching between docking and operating states not only consume a lot of time, but also cause unnecessary energy loss. Based on this, we have developed a function that can guide passengers to the same or similar floors to the same elevator.

During the normal operation period, we make full use of AI's learning ability to develop a plan that can dynamically group floors according to capacity requirements, which significantly improves the balance of capacity allocation in the multi-ladder collaborative mode.
