OCAC 幼儿园 K3 探究单元 – 探索情感的创意表达

海归幼儿园大班小朋友目前正在探究IB超学科主题 “我们如何表达自己”,其中的核心思想与我们的年轻学习者产生了深刻的共鸣——“情感可以通过创造力表达”。这一单元旨在培养幼儿对各种艺术形式的情感表达的理解。最近,大班的孩子们踏上了激动人心的数字艺术馆探索之旅,在那里他们发现了艺术、科技和创造力的生动交汇。




数字艺术馆之旅


苏州湾数字艺术博物馆提供了各类艺术和技术之间动态对话的沉浸式体验。海归的孩子们新奇地探索了艺术馆的各种展览,其中包括互动展示和高科技装置,以创新的方式将中国传统艺术带入生活。

In K3, we are currently immersed in the IB unit "How We Express Ourselves," with a Central Idea that resonates deeply with our young learners: "Emotions can be Expressed through Creativity." This unit is designed to foster an understanding of how various forms of art can serve as powerful tools for emotional expression. Recently, our kindergarten group embarked on an exciting adventure to the Digital Art Museum, where they discovered the vibrant interdiv of art, technology, and creativity.



The Digital Art Museum Experience


The Suzhou Bay Digital Art Museum offers an immersive experience, leveraging digital technologies like the Internet of Things to engage visitors in a dynamic dialogue between art and technology. Our kindergarten group was thrilled to explore the museum's diverse exhibitions, which included interactive displays and high-tech installations that brought traditional Chinese art to life in innovative ways.


One of the highlights of the visit was the "A Dream Journey – Through A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains" exhibit. This digital rendition of a masterpiece from the Northern Song Dynasty used light, shadow, and projections to transport visitors into a breathtaking landscape, allowing them to interact with ancient art in a modern context. The children were captivated by the immersive experience, which not only educated them about traditional Chinese culture but also inspired their imagination and creativity.




Learning through Creativity


This trip was more than just a fun outing; it was a carefully planned educational experience designed to align with our Central Idea. By engaging with digital art, the children gained a deeper understanding of how emotions can be expressed through various creative mediums. This exposure to innovative art forms encouraged them to think creatively and explore different ways to convey their feelings and ideas.



Back in the classroom, we have been reinforcing this learning through a variety of visual and performing arts activities. From painting, playdough sculptures, dramas, percussion and song, our kindergarten students have been actively expressing their emotions and imagination through the arts. These activities not only foster creativity but also develop fine motor skills, critical thinking, and communication skills.
