每年的3月14日,全球数学爱好者以"吃派、解谜、狂欢"的方式庆祝圆周率π的无限魅力。而在中山市弘科未来小学部的课堂,这不仅是数字的狂欢,更是跨学科探索与学习者素养的深度碰撞!
πDay趣活动全回顾:IB培养者目标如何"玩"出高度?
在今年的3月14日,弘科未来小学部也以“π Day”为核心主题,设计了一系列趣味性与挑战性并存的数学游戏,通过小组合作与竞赛的形式,让孩子们在数学游戏中探索与创造。
当七巧板遇上π Day,一年级的孩子们用三角形、正方形拼出"空间思维力",原来几何之美藏于指尖!
二年级的孩子们紧盯宫格,铅笔如侦探般排除错误答案,在每格数字中落地生根,每个数字的精准定位,都是对逻辑与耐心的极致考验。
“一心一意”到“千变万化”,当“七上八下”遇见分数比较,三年级的孩子们用语文解锁数学密码,打破学科边界!
“我们像在移动行星轨道!”四年级团队在搬运圆盘时感叹道。他们的不断尝试,每一次对失败策略的调整,都是通向成功的阶梯。

During the recently concluded π Day Math Week, our primary students transformed into Knowledgeable learners and Thinkers, deciphering the secrets of π and orchestrating a cross-disciplinary mathematical dialogue across time and space!
Every March 14th, math enthusiasts worldwide celebrate the infinite charm of πwith pie-eating, puzzle-solving, and festivities. Yet in our classrooms of primary, this is more than numerical revelry—it’s a fusion of interdisciplinary exploration and learner profile development!
Highlights of π Day Activities:
How Did IB Learner Profiles Elevate the Fun?
In March 14th, ACZS Primary school centered its activities around π Day, designing a series of math games that blended fun and challenge. Through collaborative group work and friendly competition, students explored creativity while strengthening their Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills.
When tangrams met π Day, G1 builders assembled triangles and squares to reveal spatial intelligence—proving geometric beauty lies at their fingertips!
G2 detectives wielded pencils like magnifying glasses, eliminating wrong answers and anchoring numbers in their rightful grids—a masterclass in logic and perseverance.
Idiom-Meets-Math Challenge
From single-minded focus to endless variations, our G3 students cracked math codes using Chinese idioms, smashing disciplinary boundaries!
"We’re moving planetary orbits!" exclaimed G4 teams transporting disks. Each strategy refinement after "failed" attempts became stepping stones to triumph.
24-Point Arithmetic Storm
In G5’ s equation storm, students wove arithmetic symbols into concertos of critical thinking.
G6 mathematicians leveled up from 6×6 to 9×9 grids—not merely adding squares, but systematically training cognitive flexibility.
