What inspired our school to establish a scholarship programme?
The primary goals our school hopes to achieve through offering scholarships is to attract and support exceptional students who will contribute positively to school life. In your view, what is the real meaning of a scholarship, beyond financial support?
Responsibility. It is a recognition of a student’s abilities and potential, but it also comes with the expectation that they will give back to the school community. Scholarship students serve as role models, demonstrating integrity, perseverance, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Furthermore, the scholarship application process itself serves as a transformative platform for students to crystallise their strengths, turning relentless dedication into tangible recognition that fuels future endeavours.

Can you share a story or example of how a scholarship has positively impacted a student’s life or the school community?
One of our scholarship students, joined LEH with a passion for music and quickly became an integral part of our school community. Through the scholarship, they had access to specialised mentorship, leadership opportunities, and an environment that nurtured their potential. Today, they are thriving, demonstrating that a scholarship can transform a student’s future while inspiring others to strive for excellence.
As an educator, what does it mean to you to see a student thrive because of a scholarship?
It is one of the greatest rewards of teaching. Seeing a student grow in confidence, take on new challenges, and achieve their dreams is incredibly fulfilling. A scholarship can open doors, provide life-changing opportunities, and inspire a student to give back and create opportunities for others in the future.
Scholarship students are on a transformative journey, one that extends far beyond their years at school. When they apply for university, they will be asked: What did your scholarship mean to you?
