寄宿是真切体验哈罗教育的方式,我们的运营标准与英国哈罗公学保持高度一致。在寄宿生活中,学生与优秀的同学在温暖的集体生活中成长,提升社交能力和独立能力,收获相伴一生的同窗友谊,还能在“家”门口享受世界一流标准的生活设施。


寄宿生们可以获得额外的学术支持,亦能拥有一系列丰富的活动选择,涵盖体育、学术、音乐、创意及公益等多个领域。在参与活动的过程中,学生会充分使用学校里的一流设施,施展现有的个人才艺并挖掘崭新潜能,促进健康心态的养成,增进与其他寄宿生的交流互动。同时,哈罗横琴专职寄宿团队和全体教职团队也将为他们不断提供指导和支持。


哈罗横琴寄宿部面向四年级及以上的学生开放,为五天寄宿制,周日至周四住校。

比肩“星级酒店”的生活设施


哈罗横琴的现代化寄宿设施为学生提供了一个非常全面的学习环境,房间分配从单人间至三人间不等,充分考虑不同需求,在寄宿部设有学生公共区域,如自习室、公共休息室、公共电影区等。寄宿生的早午晚餐由星级餐饮团队埃顿(Aden)负责,每天食材新鲜,兼具美味与营养均衡。




此外,寄宿生可根据需要,在教师的监督下使用相应的校园设施,包括大型体育馆、室内游泳池、戏剧黑匣子表演空间、计算机教室、高尔夫模拟室、陶艺室、舞蹈教室、图书馆以及大型礼堂等一流设施。学生在这样一个配备丰富校园设备并能随时得到导师指导的地方生活与学习,有利于学生的独立性和均衡性发展。




课堂之外的学术支持


在学术支持方面,我们为寄宿生提供全方位的服务。不仅寄宿部的教职员负责监督孩子的作业完成情况和学业进展,同时,不同学科的教师每天定期到寄宿部提供针对性的学业辅导。针对不同年级的需求,我们提供了分层辅导支持,例如低年级学生可以得到额外的英语和数学科目辅导,而高年级学生则可以获得包括IGCSE或A-Level科目的辅导。




此外,对于需要加强语言能力的学生,寄宿部还计划安排CAL和EAL老师提供专门的语言支持。这些额外的学习辅导均由哈罗的专业教学团队执行,并已包含在寄宿费用中,旨在为每一位寄宿生提供最贴心且全面的学术帮助。




丰富多彩的寄宿活动


我们坚信体育和艺术是全人教育不可或缺的一部分。每天晚上,寄宿部的学生会参加至少一个小时的运动项目,如篮球、羽毛球、足球或飞盘。清晨,我们的寄宿老师还会自发组织晨跑。寄宿部同时安排了丰富多彩的艺术活动,包括小提琴、钢琴、画画、手工艺活动等等。



寄宿部每月还会组织一次集体外出活动,例如到公园露营、到蹦床公园释放压力、集体烧烤等等。寄宿部鼓励学生参与策划、沟通与管理预算等环节,从中学习沟通、合作与责任,以此培养学生的领导力。



紧密的家校沟通


寄宿部的老师们会密切跟踪每位学生的成长和需求,及时反馈给家长。寄宿部也注重与家长之间的双向沟通,定期召开家长座谈会,举行亲子活动等等,让家长深入了解学生在寄宿部的情况。

我选择寄宿是因为我可以和一群优秀又友好的人在一起。我喜欢和他们谈论学校里发生的各种趣事,并分享有趣的时刻。在寄宿生活中,最让我难忘的时刻是我们一起去学校附近的蹦床公园游玩。我和朋友们在那里玩得非常开心,两个小时无忧无虑的玩耍让我的压力得到了释放。我很高兴寄宿部能为我们组织了这些有趣的活动。总体来说,我非常喜欢寄宿生活,也很期待明年的寄宿生活。

我之所以选择住宿,是因为我家距离学校比较远。除此之外,我也希望能在学校结交更多朋友,融入校园生活。住在寄宿部让我有更多机会和同学们相处、一起学习和生活,这对我来说是一段非常宝贵的经历。我印象最深的一次活动是我们一起去看电影。那天大家都特别放松,边看边笑,气氛非常好。虽然电影本身就很好看,但更让我开心的是那种和朋友们一起分享快乐的感觉,真的非常温馨,也增进了我们之间的感情。寄宿部的环境也越来越好,原本空旷的区域现在变成了充满乐趣的活动空间,放学后和朋友们一起打球、聊天,感觉特别放松和开心。

Boarding offers a truly immersive Harrow education experience, with operations closely aligned with those of Harrow School in the UK. At Harrow Hengqin, students grow alongside exceptional peers in a warm, communal environment, nurturing their social and independent living skills, and forging friendships that last a lifetime. At the same time, they benefit from world-class boarding facilities.


Boarders enjoy additional academic support and a rich variety of activities spanning sport, academia, music, the arts, and community service. While taking part in these activities, students make full use of the school’s first-class facilities, hone their talents, discover new interests, develop a healthy mindset, and connect deeply with fellow boarders. Our dedicated boarding and teaching staff are always on hand to offer guidance and support throughout their journey.


Boarding is available for students in Grade 4 and above, operating five nights a week from Sunday to Thursday.

To ensure that every boarder receives outstanding pastoral care and academic support, our boarding team provides 24-hour supervision. We have assembled a team of highly experienced boarding professionals from both China and overseas. They oversee all boarding operations and staff, maintaining our facilities and the quality of care at the highest level.

Facilities on par with an upscale hotel


Harrow Hengqin’s modern boarding facilities provide a comprehensive and supportive learning environment. Rooms range from singles to triples to cater to different preferences, and communal spaces such as study rooms, common lounges, and a shared cinema area promote social interaction. Meals are prepared daily by Aden, our catering team, with a focus on fresh ingredients and balanced, nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.




Boarders may also access top-tier school facilities under staff supervision, including a large sports hall, indoor swimming pool, large drama black box performance space, computer suites, golf simulator, pottery room, dance studios, two libraries and large theatre/auditorium. The rich resources and constant mentorship provide the foundation for personal growth and independent living.




Academic support beyond the classroom


Academic support is an integral part of boarding life. Boarding staff regularly monitor each pupil’s homework and academic progress, while day school teachers visit the boarding house daily to provide targeted support. Support is tailored to suit each group. Lower School pupils may receive extra guidance in English and Mathematics, while Upper School students are supported with IGCSE or A-Level subject tutoring.




For students needing additional language help, CAL (Chinese as an Additional Language) and EAL (English as an Additional Language) teachers are scheduled to offer focused instruction. These services, provided by Harrow’s professional teaching team, are included in the boarding fees and aim to give every pupil well-rounded academic support.




A vibrant programme of boarding activities


We believe that sport and the arts are essential to a holistic education. Every evening, boarders take part in at least one hour of physical activity, such as basketball, badminton, football, or frisbee. Morning runs are often organised by boarding staff for those who wish to join. Arts also play a vital role in boarding life, with optional activities such as violin, piano, painting, and crafts available.



Once a month, we hold an off-site excursion, such as camping in the park, visiting a trampoline park, or having a group barbecue. Boarders are encouraged to take part in planning, budgeting, and logistics to build communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.




Strong school-home communication


Boarding staff closely monitor each pupil’s development and regularly update parents. We value strong two-way communication with families, and host regular parent meetings and family engagement events to ensure parents feel involved in their child’s boarding journey.

I chose to board because I enjoy being around people who are kind and ambitious. I love chatting with them about things happening at school and sharing funny moments. One of my favourite memories was our trip to the trampoline park near school. We laughed and played for two carefree hours – it really helped me unwind. I’m so glad the boarding team organises these fun activities. Overall, I love boarding and I’m already looking forward to next year!

Boarding has taught me many things that day school simply can’t. It’s made me much more self-disciplined and better at socialising. Living in the boarding house helped me become more engaged with school life. One moment I’ll never forget was my birthday – everyone surprised me with a cake and sang for me. That was when I truly felt the Harrow value of Fellowship. It really moved me, and it’s a friendship I’ll always cherish.

I board because my home is quite far from school, but also because I wanted to make more friends and be more involved in school life. Living in the boarding house has given me so many chances to study and hang out with classmates, which I really value. One of my best memories is when we went to the cinema together – we were all so relaxed, laughing and enjoying the film. It wasn’t just the movie that made me happy, but the joy of sharing the moment with my friends. The boarding house keeps getting better too – we now have fun spaces to hang out and play after school, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
