Brody's connection to the Food Science program began with a warm childhood memory. Watching his mother suffer from stomach problems, he began studying food remedies at a young age. From making congee to preparing different types of food to nourish the stomach, he gradually became interested in the relationship between food and health through the fire and smoke in the kitchen. This motivation from family love gradually sublimated into a professional interest in food science, which sowed the seeds for his future academic choices.

Recalling his time at Farragut, Brody always says that everything here was like a customized cradle for him to grow up in. There was no superior teacher in the school, and when he passed by the office between classes, the teachers would always greet him with a smile and sit down to talk about his recent confusion; in the small classroom, a few students sat together, and the heated discussions often continued from the classroom to the playground. As the founder of BAF Badminton Association, he has devoted himself to every aspect of the game, from tournament planning, staff organization, to the design of the point system. The shouting and sweating on the court not only let him gain precious friendships, but also develop excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
Soft calligraphy, which he has been practicing for more than ten years, is an indispensable poetic habitat in his life. He mentioned, “I am very lucky to study in Farragut! The school provides me with a lot of opportunities to show myself, including class bulletins, Mid-Autumn Festival activities, Chinese and Indian cultural exchanges, etc. I can use calligraphy to become a messenger to spread the traditional Chinese culture. Whenever I saw the marvelous eyes of my foreign friends, I felt a sense of national pride. Such an experience is invaluable to me!”
