「家长工作坊」是BMH校园历久弥新的教育名片,更是家校共育的灯塔。这项特色项目始终以创新的姿态,搭建起对话的虹桥,促进家校两方从理念共鸣到实践共生。


本周,BMH小学部的家长们走进校园,在探究课程中文阅读双主题工作坊中,开启了一场沉浸式学习协作体验。两门学科的资深教师全方位呈现我校课程体系的精髓,更通过实用教育策略的深度分享,帮助家长进一步了解。



首场工作坊启迪思维的艺术:家庭教育中有效提问的智慧」由我校探究课程与信息技术学科组长Ms Smith主持。通过深入浅出的讲解,Ms Smith向家长揭示了优质提问在激发儿童求知欲与批判性思维中的核心价值。


在互动体验与反思讨论相结合的形式中,家长们领悟到日常对话的深层教育意蕴——无论是共读后的思想碰撞,还是校园生活的点滴分享,都能转化为培养独立思维能力的教育契机。在温暖且富有启发性的现场氛围中,引导家长将开放式提问融入日常亲子对话中。





第二场工作坊聚焦中文教育领域,以「书页间的双向成长:BMH阅读生态体系中的亲子共读密钥」为主题,由我校中文教研团队的王老师、黄老师与周老师联袂呈现。活动系统解读了我校层级递进的中文阅读课程体系:王老师全景式阐释BMH阅读框架,周老师专注低年级阅读习惯养成之道,黄老师则引领家长探索高段深度理解与批判性阅读策略。整场分享既有理论高度又具实践价值,充分彰显家校协同育人理念。




两场工作坊均获得家长的高度参与与热烈反馈。衷心感谢各位家长的热情投入,让我们共同期待这些教育智慧在校园与家庭的土壤中生根发芽,见证莘莘学子在求知之路上绽放异彩,共同见证教育合力的璀璨绽放。

Today, BMH welcomed parents into the classroom for an engaging afternoon of learning and collaboration through our dual workshops on Inquiry and Chinese reading. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our curriculum, share practical strategies, and strengthen the vital connection between home and school.



The first session, Curious Conversations: Asking the Right Questions at Home, was led by Ms Smith, our Head of Inquiry and Computing. Parents were introduced to the power of questioning as a tool to foster curiosity and critical thinking in their children. Through hands-on activities and reflective discussions, families explored how everyday interactions—like discussing a book or chatting about their child’s day—can become gateways to deeper understanding and independent thought. The atmosphere was warm, interactive and thought-provoking, leaving parents inspired to bring more open-ended questioning into their daily routines.




Following this, the second session focused on our Chinese curriculum, titled Bidirectional Growth Between Pages: The Key to Parent-Child Shared Reading in BMH’s Reading Ecosystem. Co-hosted by Ms Wang, Ms Huang, and Ms Zhou from our Chinese team, the session offered a rich exploration of our structured and progressive Chinese reading programme. Ms Wang shared the overall reading framework at BMH, Ms Zhou focused on cultivating reading habits in lower grades, while Ms Huang guided parents through strategies to develop deeper comprehension and critical reading in the upper years. The session was informative, practical, and deeply rooted in our home-school values.




Both workshops were well-attended and well-received. Thank you to all the parents who participated with such enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these sessions will have on our pupils' learning journeys—both in the classroom and at home.
