Wilderness Camping Challenge

野外露营挑战

午后阳光尚有余晖，户外拓展ECA的学生们趁着最后的天光，在校园空地上搭起了帐篷。在Kevin老师的带领下，同学们为即将到来的夜晚露营准备帐篷。随后众人围坐在篝火旁，用明火烤制土豆，在跃动的火焰上烤肉，准备着晚餐。所有这些准备工作，都是他们在户外拓展课程中长期训练的成果。

While the afternoon sun still shone, the outdoor ECA club students took the last of the daylight to set up their tents in the school grounds. Led by Mr Kevin, the students prepared their sleeping accommodation for the coming night. Then gathering around the campfire to prepare their dinner by roasting potatoes in the open fire and grilling meat on the flames. All this preparation was a culmination of their training in the Outdoor Club ECA.

晚餐收拾完毕后，学生们趁着夜色探访了附近的湿地公园。指尖拂过芦苇的纹理，耳畔萦绕着夜的乐章——昆虫、鸟雀与蛙鸣交织成天然合唱，再不会被手机和平板的声响打断。大自然为这些教科书里找不到的发现配上了专属音效，构成了全方位沉浸式的立体课堂。

After dinner and clean up, the students ventured out in the dark night to visit the nearby wetlands. Fingertips traced the texture of the reeds, while ears tuned in to the sound of the night, insects, birds and frogs are all part of the chorus not interrupted by mobile phones, and ipads. Nature provided its own soundtrack to discoveries not found in textbooks, but as part of a fully immersive 360 degree classroom.

回到黑暗笼罩的营地，篝火的微光映照着学生们期待的脸庞，巧克力在炙烤的棉花糖上融化成粘稠的糖浆。夜谈声渐渐稀疏，经历了一天活动的学生们在温暖的临时居所里沉入梦乡，全然不觉凌晨时分飘落的细雨。

Back at the camp in the dark, the glow of the fire provided the light on the eager faces as chocolate melted into the sticky marshmallows roasted in the fire. The night chatter slowly lessened as the students tired from their activities drifted off to sleep in their warm, temporary homes, oblivious to the gentle rain that fell in the early morning.

我们的收获

晨露未晞时，孩子们已利落地收起帐篷。磨红的掌心、裤脚的草屑，都是这场"冒险"颁发的勋章。或许未来某天，当他们在真正的荒野中从容生火搭营时，会想起这个用校园草地模拟世界的夜晚——教育最美的样子，本就是把世界变成教室。

By dawn, with dew still fresh on the grass, the children were already packing up their tents with practiced efficiency. Their roughened palms and grass-stained pant legs were like badges of honor from this "adventure." Perhaps someday in the future, when they confidently build fires and pitch tents in the true wilderness, they'll remember this night when the school lawn became a microcosm of the world—for the most beautiful form of education is turning the world into a classroom.
