House Activities｜从运动场到歌声舞台：ASJ学院精神的四季绽放

The first highlight of the academic year arrived during November’s Sports Day! Alongside thrilling individual competitions, the dedicated House Friendship Games became the centerpiece. Banners bearing the symbols of Pegasus, Phoenix, Lion, and Wolf waved proudly in the stands as cheers filled the air. Students and teachers, regardless of age or subject taught, transformed into ardent House supporters, passionately cheering for teammates wearing their House colours.

These Friendship Games were not merely tests of athleticism; they were the first collective showcase of House cohesion and pride. They successfully ignited a sense of belonging within each House, setting a dynamic tone for the year's activities.

学院精神的塑造，离不开每一位教职员工的投入与引领。2025年1月，House Master们特别为属于不同学院的老师们策划了专属House教师团建活动。各学院根据自身特色，精心设计了丰富有趣的环节。

The shaping of House spirit relies on the dedication and leadership of every faculty and staff member. In January 2025, House Masters organized exclusive House-based team-building activities for teachers. Each House designed engaging sessions reflecting its unique character.

Loyalty House (Phoenix): The teachers played the 'Give Me Five' game, sharing their thoughts and feelings from this period and connecting with colleagues who resonated with them. Through collaboration, they deeply embodied the Phoenix spirit of 'standing together through thick and thin and remaining loyal to one another. This was followed by a "Brainstorm of House Activities," where shared stories and laughter in a relaxed atmosphere strengthened bonds of understanding and trust.

Sincerity House (Wolf): The teachers broke the ice with a "Name Chain Reaction" game, introducing themselves sincerely. An energetic "A.P.T. Music Challenge" and free karaoke session encouraged everyone to shed inhibitions, express themselves authentically through music and dance, and demonstrate Wolf-like camaraderie and joy. The session concluded with a "Team Building Brainstorm," where teachers sincerely pooled ideas for House development.

Integrity House (Pegasus): The teachers quickly connected through ice-breakers like "Two Truths and a Lie," showcasing their authentic selves (Integrity). A lively "Karaoke Session" followed, filling the space with song. The final "Brainstorming Focus" centered on student activities, where teachers discussed future plans pragmatically and with integrity.

Respect/Lion House: The teachers of Respect/Lion House also centered their activities around the core value of 'respect,' fostering mutual understanding and showcasing the strength and dignity of teamwork—much like a lion pride, where power and grace coexist.

These team-building activities allowed teachers to step back from their busy schedules, reconnect as "House members," relax, and deepen their bonds. The collaboration, sincerity, wisdom, and respect demonstrated by teachers served as the most vivid example of House spirit, setting a powerful example for students and further solidifying each House's cultural foundation.

The highlight of the school year is the “House Karaoke” series that runs throughout the spring semester! From March to May, the four Houses—Integrity (Pegasus), Respect (Lion), Sincerity (Wolf), and Loyalty (Phoenix) take the stage one by one, transforming the school's small theater into a sea of songs and enthusiasm.

无论你是实力唱将，还是享受氛围的参与者，这个舞台都向你敞开。个人独唱、好友合唱、师生同台、甚至整个小组的集体献唱，形式多样。每一次登台，都是为学院荣誉而“声”援！

熟悉的旋律响起，同一学院的成员们自发跟唱，挥舞手臂，掌声、欢呼声、喝彩声汇成一片。那一刻，个人的声音融入学院的合唱，新学期的活力在音符中迸发，新凝聚的力量在歌声中升华。

Whether a powerhouse vocalist or simply soaking in the atmosphere, the stage was open to all. Performances ranged from solos and duets to teacher-student collaborations and full-group renditions. Every performance was a vocal stand for House honour!

As familiar tunes played, members of the same House spontaneously sang along, waving their arms amidst applause, cheers, and shouts of encouragement. In those moments, individual voices merged into a House chorus; the vitality of the new semester pulsed through the notes, and newly forged bonds of unity soared with the music.

Each Karaoke event was a concentrated display of House spirit and a powerful surge of collective energy. The songs carried joy and a deep sense of identity and affection for each House.

Looking back on the 2024-2025 academic year, from shared struggles on the sports field, to the laughter and brainstorming of faculty team building, to the House anthems echoing from the Karaoke stage—the footprints of the Pegasus, Phoenix, Lion, and Wolf have marked every corner of our campus. Each activity vividly interpreted the university motto, "Integrity, Loyalty, Respect, and Sincerity," and powerfully strengthened the connections within each House community.

四大学院的形象不仅仅是名字和符号，更代表了学校的精神内核。我们欣喜地看到，House精神正日益融入佛山ASJ的日常。它激励我们追求卓越，忠于彼此与集体，尊重差异、团结一心，并以最真实的自我真诚相待。

学院的故事仍在继续，新的学年，更多凝聚力量、展现风采的House活动正在筹划中。让我们共同期待，在飞马、凤凰、狮子、狼的引领下，佛山ASJ的学院精神继续闪耀光芒，谱写更多属于我们共同体的精彩篇章！

These houses are more than just names and symbols; they represent the essence of who we are as a school.We are delighted to see House spirit increasingly becoming part of the ASJ-FS fabric. It inspires us to pursue excellence (Integrity), remain loyal to one another and our community (Loyalty), respect diversity and stand united (Respect), and interact with each other with sincerity and authenticity (Sincerity).

The House story continues! More activities designed to unite and showcase our spirit are being planned for the new academic year.
