What happened during the 2025 Summer break? Our Maple Dragon, Benny Lee, has something to share.
Benny is a Grade 11 student here at CISH. He shared his summer camp experience at the National University of Singapore (NUS) with us. The reason why he chose NUS in the first place was his passion for this school and its science program.
According to Benny, the application process to the NUS science summer camp was surprisingly easy and smooth, with his Grade 10 report card and student ID of CISH.
Some of the most valuable takeaways Benny gained from this summer camp experience are the diverse friendships and valuable mentorship he was able to build. Attending the program alongside peers from Malaysia, Qatar, Korea, and Portugal, and having a professor who taught Nanotechnology in an interactive and fun way, enabled him to grasp complex concepts easily. Moreover, the new tools offered in the camp helped him gain more hands-on lab work experience.

When asked about his experience staying at the NUS student dormitory, he shared his memorable evenings with peers in the Utown div on campus, where they can access food and beverages during after-school leisure bonding time.
Benny cherishes these memories and believes the IB education here at CISH enables him to smoothly get accepted into the program and easily connect with students from around the world, all while enjoying the learning experience without feeling overwhelmed.
CISH is proud of Benny and glad to be part of his support and learning journey.
Go Maple Dragons!
