Prep Student Day Schedule
A day in Prep School begins at 7:30 a.m. Students may choose to join the boarding students for a healthy breakfast. From 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., students proceed to their classrooms, where their classroom teachers greet them. During this critical time of the day, teachers check in with students to assess their well-being. All students must arrive at their classrooms by 8:00 a.m. daily to prepare for the wonderful day ahead.
The timetable for Prep School students includes a series of rich and engaging thematic lessons daily. While the timetable varies from class to class or year group to year group, a common feature is that students spend most of their daily learning time with their classroom teacher. The classroom teacher guides students to understand and explore knowledge across various subjects through our thematic British curriculum.
All our classroom teachers are British educators with extensive teaching experience, responsible for instructing multiple subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Thematic Studies (which encompasses humanities subjects such as Geography and History), and Personal, Social, Health, and Economic Education (PSHE). Our British-style curriculum adopts a thematic teaching approach that integrates various subjects. Through this organic integration, students can explore multiple themes, such as communities, human body structure, and energy utilization, across numerous subjects, enabling them to draw inferences by analogy and thereby deepen their understanding of knowledge in different disciplines.
Along with classroom teachers, the Prep School is also staffed with a team of subject teachers who deliver lessons to students, covering subjects such as Art, Music, PE, Swimming, Chinese, and Spanish. We encourage students to explore a wide range of diverse subjects to promote their all-around development and build a strong foundation for their future academic progress.
Break times begin at 10:20 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. each day. Break time is an essential part of the students' day, during which they can enjoy snacks and play with friends in the Prep Garden. Taking a break allows students to relax, forget their worries, and recharge for focused learning. In this process, students can develop their social skills and foster a sense of well-being.

and School Events
Prep School students enjoy their extracurricular activity (ECA) time. Every day, they can choose one ECA based on their own interests to explore their hobbies. We offer a wide variety of ECAs, including art, language, sports, music, STEM and more. Additionally, there is a Homework Club, where students review their daily lessons and complete homework under the supervision and guidance of teachers.
Throughout the school year, the school also organises a variety of exciting events. Last year, we successfully hosted events such as the Prep Talks, International Earth Day, World Book Week and Art Exhibition. In this new academic year, we place more emphasis on home-school communication and have successfully held activities such as Prep School settling meetings,Prep School Curriculum Information Parent Workshops, and Grandparents' Day. Looking ahead, we plan to host a range of diverse and engaging events such as Hispanic Heritage Day and Cobis Poetry off.
Our Prep School Boarding Department provides students with a richer campus life experience, helping them establish a consistent daily routine. Boarding students can enjoy tasty, nutritious dinners on campus, followed by teacher-led evening sessions with a variety of lively social activities in the comfortable boarding house.
