低年级的看图说话环节，小选手们一个个化身 “故事大王”，用生动的语言描绘场景。他们时而绘声绘色地讲述情节，时而妙语连珠地抛出巧思，把静态的图画完完全全变成了鲜活的小剧场。

In the picture description segment for the lower grades, the young contestants transformed into master storytellers, painting pictures with words. They sometimes narrated plots with great expression, other times wittily shared clever ideas, completely turning static pictures into lively little dramas.

中、高年级的指定话题现场进行观点陈述环节，小选手们分别从“校园里我最喜欢的角落是哪里？为什么？”“我设计的 ‘未来小发明’，并说说它的功能”这两个中文话题和“A Time I Helped a Friend at Tsinglan”  “My Brave Moment at Tsinglan”这两个英文话题中选择其中一个话题进行观点陈述。面对这些话题，小选手们毫不怯场，他们用沉稳有力的中文或自然流畅的英文清晰地表达自己的观点，展现出超常的思辨力和表达力。

For upper primary grades’ on-the-spot presentation segment, the young contestants were assigned one topic from two Chinese options – "Where is my favorite spot on campus and why?" and "A 'Future Invention' I designed and its functions" – and two English options – "A Time I Helped a Friend at Tsinglan" and "My Brave Moment at Tsinglan." Facing these topics, the young contestants showed no stage fright. They clearly expressed their views using steady and forceful Chinese or natural and fluent English, demonstrating exceptional critical thinking and expressive skills.

即兴情景主持环节堪称 “终极考验”，选手们从 “校园春节晚会开场”“童子军活动开营”“Children’s Day (June 1st) Closing”等话题中选择其中一个用中文或英文进行现场即兴主持。

The impromptu hosting segment could be called the "ultimate test." Contestants were assigned one topic from options such as "Campus Spring Festival Gala Opening", "Scout Camp Opening Ceremony",  or "Children's Day (June 1st) Closing", and performed an impromptu host segment in either Chinese or English.

"Dear audience, good evening! The Tsinglan School Spring Festival Gala begins now..."

"Students, the Tsinglan School Scout Camp Opening Ceremony officially commences..."

瞧，小选手们一个个从容自信地登台，用铿锵有力的语言即兴主持着所选话题节目，举手投足间颇有专业主持人的风范，双语切换无缝衔接，临场反应更是让人惊喜不断。

Look, each young contestant took the stage with composure and confidence, using powerful and resolute language to improvise hosting for their chosen topic. Their every gesture and movement carried the poise of professional hosts, and their on-the-spot reactions provided constant delightful surprises.

这一轮才艺表演环节更是将气氛推向高潮，单口相声、钢琴独奏、诗歌朗诵、歌曲演唱等轮番上演。小选手们那幽默风趣的单口相声演绎、悠扬动听的钢琴独奏、深情并茂的诗歌朗诵以及婉转动听的歌曲演唱，均赢得了台下评委们、老师们和同学们的阵阵掌声。

This talent showcase round pushed the atmosphere to a climax, with cross-talk, piano solos, poetry recitations, song performances, and more taking the stage in succession. The young contestants' humorous cross-talk rendition, melodious piano solos, heartfelt poetry recitation, and sweet-sounding song performances all won rounds of applause from the judges, teachers, and fellow students below the stage.

大赛中，评委老师们从语言能力、舞台表现力、创新思维和时间把控能力等多个维度对小选手们的表现进行公平、公正、公开的细致评审。小学部魏方校长、Rodney Callinan副校长就小选手们的精彩表现给予了高度肯定与细致点评。他们盛赞孩子们自信从容的台风、流畅地道的双语表达，以及临场应变时的灵动智慧，同时也寄予殷切期待，鼓励小选手们以此次大赛为起点，继续深耕语言沃土、勇敢展现自我，在更广阔的舞台上绽放属于自己的光芒。

During the competition, the judges conducted fair, just, and open, meticulous evaluations of the young contestants' performances across multiple dimensions including language ability, stage presence, innovative thinking, and time management. Primary School Principal Ms. Marybell Wei and Vice Principal Mr. Rodney Callinan highly affirmed and provided detailed comments on the excellent performances of the young contestants. They praised the children's confident and composed stage presence, fluent and authentic bilingual expression, and their quick-witted intelligence in handling impromptu situations. They also expressed ardent expectations, encouraging the young contestants to use this competition as a starting point, continue to delve deeply into the fertile soil of language, bravely express themselves, and shine their unique light on broader stages.

The conclusion of this "Refinement Cup" Bilingual Host Competition is not the end of the language exploration journey, but a new starting point for Tsinglan's youth to use bilingualism as their wings and journey towards broader horizons.
