On November 21st, amidst bright sunshine and the sweet fragrance of osmanthus, a series of Dongguan Youth National Defense Education activities, themed “Promoting the Spirit of the War of Resistance, Jointly Building the Great Wall of National Defense,” unfolded passionately at the ASJ (Dongguan). With a diverse array of activities, including a National Flag Guard exhibition, a patriotic education lecture, a display of military equipment, and CS battlefield simulations, the event sowed the seeds of patriotism and military strength into the hearts of every student, igniting their patriotic enthusiasm and dreams of strengthening the military.
11月21日，阳光灿烂，丹桂飘香。以“弘扬抗战精神，共筑国防长城”为主题的东莞市青少年国防教育系列活动在东莞暨大港澳子弟学校激情展开。国旗护卫队展演、红色思政宣讲、国防军事装备展示、CS战场对抗等丰富多彩的活动，将爱国强军的种子播撒进每一位学子的心中，点燃了青少年心中的爱国热情与强军梦想。
“Forward—March!” At the resounding command, the National Flag Guard entered the arena with high morale. Their posture was upright, their steps resonant, and their movements perfectly synchronized. Every footfall was firm and powerful, every gaze as resolute as iron. Solemnly, they unfurled the Five-Star Red Flag, which shone brilliantly under the lights. All attendees stood at attention to pay tribute and sang the national anthem. At this moment, the solemn sense of ritual allowed every student from Hong Kong, Macao, and the mainland to profoundly feel the sanctity of the national flag and the dignity of the nation.
“齐步－走！”随着一声嘹亮的口令，国旗护卫队气宇轩昂地入场。他们身姿挺拔，步伐铿锵，动作整齐划一。每一次落脚都掷地有声，每一个眼神都坚毅如铁。他们神情庄重地展开五星红旗，鲜艳的旗帜在灯光下格外耀眼。全体人员肃立行注目礼，高唱国歌。这一刻，庄严的仪式感让在场的每一位港澳及内地学子，都深刻感受到了国旗的神圣与国家的尊严。
At the event, Mr. Tang Chaorong, a hero, Municipal People’s Congress representative, “Good Person of Dongguan,” and specially appointed lecturer of Guanyi National Defense Education Center, delivered a soul-stirring patriotic lecture to the students.
活动现场，市人大代表、东莞好人、莞邑国防教育中心特聘讲师汤超荣英雄为同学们带来了一场直抵人心的红色思政宣讲。
As a holder of a First-Class Merit citation from the Self-Defense Counterattack battles, Tang was invited to attend major events such as the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. His advanced deeds and heroic acts serve as a living national defense education course in themselves.
作为自卫反击作战中的一等功臣，汤超荣受邀参加纪念中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年大会等重要活动，其先进事迹和伟大壮举本身就是一部生动的国防教育课程。
Under the title “Great Spirit, Eternal Monument,” he combined his personal combat experiences, his reflections on attending the September 3rd military parade (pride, shock, and cherishing), and examples of Dongguan’s revolutionary stories to emotionally recount the vital significance and generational responsibility of patriotism and dedicating oneself to national defense. The students listened intently, as if traveling through time back to those tumultuous years.
他以《伟大精神 丰碑永铸》为题，结合自身战斗经历、出席九三阅兵感想（自豪、震撼、珍惜）及东莞红色故事案例，深情讲述了爱国强军和投身国防建设的重要意义和时代责任。同学们听得聚精会神，仿佛穿越时空，回到了那段峥嵘岁月。
This was not just a civics class, but a spiritual baptism. It told the children: Peace today does not come easily; we must strive to be strong!
这不仅是一堂思政课，更是一次精神的洗礼。它告诉孩子们：今天的和平来之不易，吾辈当自强！
In the campus defense equipment display area, safe and controlled physical models of light defense equipment attracted many students. Whether stopping to watch or touching the gear with their own hands, everyone enriched their basic defense knowledge through direct experience. Additionally, in a designated enclosed area on the school playground, equipment such as automatic sensing simulators and protective goggles was ready. Under the guidance of staff, students participated in simulated shooting experiences, enhancing their defense skills through practice.
在校园的国防装备展示区，安全可控的轻型国防装备实物吸引了众多学子或驻足观看，或亲手触摸，让大家在直观体验中丰富了国防基础知识。此外，在学校操场划定的封闭区域内，自动感应模拟发射器、防护眼镜等穿戴装备准备就绪，在工作人员的指导下，同学们还参与了模拟射击体验，在实践中增强国防技能。
Samuel KAM, Executive Principal of ASJ (Dongguan), emphasized in his speech that strengthening national security awareness and reinforcing universal national defense education among the younger generation is crucial not only for personal growth but also for the long-term peace and stability of the country.
东莞暨大港澳子弟学校执行校长金礼贤在致辞中强调，年轻一代强化国家安全意识、加强全民国防教育，这不仅关乎个人成长，更关乎国家长治久安。
This event, through an immersive and interactive educational model, made defense knowledge “come alive” and defense education “become fun.” As the event concluded, the students’ faces beamed with the smiles of accomplishment. This national defense education activity was not merely a transfer of knowledge, but a cleansing of the soul. It allowed students to gain insights through experience and grow through those insights, deeply planting the seeds of patriotism and military strength in their hearts.
