Learning to Serve, Serving to Lead

本届主题是:“Learning to Serve, Serving to Lead / 学以利天下,从善启新篇”。

Q2

口号“Knowledge in Action,Kindness in Motion”到底想强调什么?

  • 学习可以真正帮到别人,而不是只为分数服务;

  • 一起筹划、分工、吆喝、结算,是练习团队合作、沟通表达和解决问题的最佳现场;

Right now, everyone is talking about AI-

it can code, draw, chat, even score 100% on exams.

But there is one thing even the smartest AI cannot replace:

the “heart” a child grows in the real world when they learn to take one more step for others, and think a little more for the world they live in.

Intelligence on a screen can give answers in seconds; but the growth on a campus needs real conversations, trial and error, and many clumsy but sincere attempts.

This 2025 Charity Fair hopes to do exactly what AI cannot do:

let knowledge step out of screens and textbooks, and turn into a handwritten card, a student run stall, a concrete act of care.

Learning to Serve, Serving to Lead

Q1

What is this year’s theme? What is the deeper purpose?

The theme is: “Learning to Serve, Serving to Lead / 学以利天下,从善启新篇.”

It is not just a fundraising event, but a whole school service learning experience: students bring what they learn in class into real situations, and use it in planning, communication, creativity, and helping others.

On this day,“学以利天下”becomes very concrete: every student gets to experience that what they have learned can genuinely do some good for someone else.

Q2

What does the slogan“Knowledge in Action, Kindness in Motion”really mean?

“Knowledge in Action / 以知促行” encourages students not to let knowledge stay on test papers, but to turn it into products, solutions, and services – a card, a handmade piece, a short introduction, all are knowledge in motion.

“Kindness in Motion / 与善同行” turns “kindness” from a slogan into visible small actions: carefully setting up a stall, answering questions patiently, and passing every donation on to those in need.
Through this fair, students are meant to truly experience this:
it is not enough just to think well; they also need to act well – with both competence and warmth.

Q3

Why design different stall styles for each division?

Because children at different ages face different questions and have different abilities, this fair has been intentionally designed as a growth path “from playful childhood to global citizen.”

  • Primary school: starting from “I want to make others happy,” using playful ministalls to plant a seed of kindness.

  • Middle school: starting from “I see a problem,”practising “What am I willing to do about it?” in the Youth in Action Street.

High School (National): starting from“I belong to this society,” thinking “What kind of society do I want to take responsibility for?” in the Hall of Young Leaders.

  • International High School: starting from“I am a global citizen,”asking “What does change in the world have to do with me, and what can I do?” on the Global Citizens Avenue.

Q4

What will the stalls look like in each division?

Primary School: Little Shopkeepers with Big Hearts

In the “Happy Planet Market,” students will sell handmade cards, small gifts, picture books and more, learning in the simplest way: “I can make someone a little happier.”

Middle School: Youth in Action Street
Focusing on themes like caring for the elderly, environmental protection, and healthy living, students bring real service projects to the stalls, turning “I see a problem” into “I choose to act.”

High School (National): Hall of Young Leaders
With “Sustainability Mini Shops” and “Charity Galleries,” students turn social science and STEM inquiries into products and displays, practicing how to use knowledge to respond to public issues.

International High School: Global Citizens Avenue
Each stall corresponds to a real global issue such as Zero Hunger, Clean Oceans, Quality Education, Fair Trade, and more, so that “buying something” also becomes a conscious valuesbased choice.

Q5

What is the most valuable meaning of this fair for students?

They will discover that:

· Learning can truly help others, not just serve their grades.

· Planning, dividing tasks, calling out to customers, and doing the accounts together is one of the best ways to practice teamwork, communication, and problemsolving.

· From a “little shopkeeper” to a “young citizen,” every brave introduction, every responsible decision, is laying a foundation for their future selves.

For the school, this is more than a charity sale; it is a visible, tangible practice of the belief “学以利天下,从善启新篇.”

Q6

What can parents and students expect on the day?

You will see students of different ages answering the same question in different ways:

“What can I do for others, and for this world?”

You will also see a growth curve stretching from childlike hearts to worldminded hearts, gently unfolding in one lively afternoon.

Date & Time:

 30 December 2025, 13:30–16:30

Venue:

ACZS Main Playground

You and your child are warmly invited to walk through this fair together,
and spend an afternoon witnessing “knowledge in action, kindness in motion.”
