Great news for UK graduates! The Hong Kong Immigration Department has confirmed that the Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) is now more accessible. If you graduated from one of the 21 specified UK elite universities, you can apply for a Hong Kong work visa directly, with no job offer required beforehand.

This move is a powerful signal of Hong Kong's ambition to recruit the world's best talent, effectively turning your UK degree into a passport to Hong Kong.

The policy covers almost all of the UK's top institutions, ranging from the G5 and Red Brick universities to leading art schools.

The College Board has officially announced the SAT standardized test dates for the 2026-2027 academic year, and registration for the first half of 2026 exams has already opened for students.

1.笔试：2026年4月8日至5月5日进行甲类科目笔试。

2.口语考试：英国语文科口试暂定于2026年3月10日至19日举行。

3.准考证发放：2026年1月下旬（暂定）派发实习考试（体育科及音乐科）准考证；2026年2月中旬（暂定）派发甲类科目考试准考证。

4.成绩放榜：初定于2026年7月15日。

5.成绩复核：放榜后5日内可申请。

On December 15, the 2026 DSE "Candidate Handbook" was uploaded to the HKExamination Authority's official website. The handbook covers key information such as examination rules, schedules, procedures and guidelines, and special policies

1. Written Exam: Category A subjects written examination will be conducted from April 8th to May 5th, 2026.

2. Speaking Exam: The English language speaking examination is tentatively scheduled to be held from March 10th to 19th, 2026.

3. Issue of Admission Forms: Admission Forms for Practical exams (‘PE and music) will be distributed in late January 2026 (tentative); Distribute Admission Forms for Category A subject exams in mid February 2026 (tentative).

4. Release of Results: tentatively scheduled for July 15, 2026.

5. Result Review: 5 days after the release of the results.

Starting from February 2026, the new TOEFL exam will be implemented, and the scoring system will also change from the 120-point scale to a 6-point scale. As of now, the following universities have updated their TOEFL score requirements.

Cornell previously required a TOEFL score of 100, the new TOEFL requirement is a minimum score of 5.0, with a recommended score of 5.5.

UMich, Ann Arbor previously required a TOEFL score of 100+, with listening and reading subscores of 23+ and speaking and writing subscores of 21+. The new TOEFL requirement is an overall score of 5.0–6.0, with subscores of 5.0 or above.

USC previously required a minimum TOEFL score of 100+, with no subscore below 20. The new TOEFL requirement is an overall score of 5.0+, with no subscore below 4.0.

NYU previously required a TOEFL score of 100. The new TOEFL requirement is an overall score and subscores of 5 or above.
