Project-Based Learning (PBL) is widely regarded as an effective educational approach, and the Junior Secondary Section at ASJ(Dongguan) has integrated this methodology to enhance student learning experiences. This was recently showcased during a PBL Open Day, where students across Grade 7, Grade 8, and Grade 9 demonstrated their interdisciplinary exploration and development through three distinctive projects.
项目式学习(PBL)被广泛视作一种卓有成效的教育方式,东莞暨大港澳子弟学校初中部亦引入这一模式,以提升学生的学习体验。在近日举行的一场PBL开放日中,七年级至九年级的同学们通过三个特色鲜明的项目,展示了他们在跨学科学习中的探索与成长。

The Grade 7 project, "Farewell Across Time and Space," drew inspiration from the song 《Song Bie》(Farewell) and classical Chinese poetry, integrating geography, history, and literature to convey the profound emotions of parting in an era when "travel was slow." Students ultimately expressed the timeless theme of "farewell" through handwritten letters and songs.
七年级项目《跨越时空的送别》从《送别》一曲与古诗出发,融合地理、历史与文学,带我们感受“车马慢”时代离别的情深与意重。同学们最终以亲笔信与歌声,诠释了“告别”这一永恒主题。









Grade 8’s "Elegance of the Song Dynasty" began with a "package from Bianjing" that bridged past and present. Through five modules—poetry, currency, city life, sports, and music—students blended multidisciplinary knowledge to vividly reconstruct the grace and social landscape of the Song Dynasty, bringing thousand-year-old culture to life in an interdisciplinary dialogue.
八年级的《宋韵华章》以一场“汴京包裹”开启古今对话。同学们通过诗词、货币、市井、体育与音乐五大板块,融合多学科知识,生动还原了宋朝的风雅与社会图景,让千年文化在跨学科碰撞中鲜活重现。












The Grade 9 project, "The Most Beautiful Day in the Forest," moved from Chinese textbooks into real nature. Applying mathematical measurement, biological observation, historical interpretation, and digital technology, students created prose, poetry, and sound works, transforming nature from a vague backdrop into a measurable, narratable, and resonant multidimensional wonder.
九年级《森林最优美的一天》从语文课文走向真实自然。同学们运用数学测量、生物观察、历史解读与数字技术,创作散文、诗歌与声音作品,让自然从模糊背景变为可测量、可讲述、可共鸣的立体秘境。












Three projects, three perspectives—together they embody our school’s educational philosophy of "learning through real-world questions and growing through interdisciplinary integration." Each inquiry extends thinking; each presentation marks growth.
三个项目,三种视角,共同诠释了我校“在真实问题中学习,在学科融合中成长”的教育理念。每一次探究都是思考的延伸,每一次展示都是成长的印记。
