2026年1月8日，香港特别行政区第八届立法会主席选举顺利举行，我校荣誉校董李慧琼女士成功当选立法会主席，佛山暨大港澳子弟学校全体师生倍感振奋与自豪，谨致以最热烈的祝贺！
On January 8, 2026, the election for the chairman of the eighth Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was successfully held. Ms. Li Huiqiong, the honorary school director of our school, was successfully elected as the chairman of the Legislative Council. All teachers, students and staff of Foshan ASJ are very excited and proud, and would like to extend my warmest congratulations!
自2008年当选香港特区立法会议员以来，李慧琼主席在完善香港治理、推动民生改善等方面贡献突出。2023年3月，她以香港历来最年轻的全国人大常委会委员身份履职，且成为本届唯一的香港女性委员，以实际行动践行 "一国两制"，用实干诠释爱国爱港的赤诚初心。
Since being elected as a member of the Hong Kong SAR Legislative Council in 2008, Chairman Li Huiqiong has made outstanding contributions in improving Hong Kong's governance and promoting the improvement of people's livelihood. In March 2023, she took up her duties as the youngest member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in Hong Kong's history, and became the only Hong Kong female member of this term. She implemented "one country, two systems" with practical actions, and interpreted her sincere original intention of patriotism and Hong Kong with practical actions.
2023年9月，李慧琼主席受聘出任佛山暨大港澳子弟学校荣誉校董，并为学校顺利开学发来视频贺信。她长期关注粤港澳大湾区教育融合与青少年爱国主义教育，积极推动香港与内地的人才交流、文化互鉴，为大湾区青年发展拓宽了路径，也为我校学子树立了 "立足专业、服务社会" 的榜样标杆。
In September 2023, Chairman Li Huiqiong was appointed as the honorary school director of Foshan ASJ, and sent a video congratulatory letter for the smooth opening of the school. She has long been concerned about the integration of education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the patriotism education for young people. She actively promotes talent exchanges and cultural mutual learning between Hong Kong and the mainland, broadens the path for the development of youth in the Greater Bay Area, and sets an example of "based on professionalism and serving the society" for our school students.
佛山暨大港澳子弟学校立足湾区、面向未来，积极参与粤港澳教育合作交流，推动基础教育互融互通，努力成为新时代大湾区教育创新发展的典范。未来，我们将继续以李慧琼主席为榜样，培养更多助力港澳繁荣稳定、推动大湾区一体化发展的栋梁之才。

FoshanASJ is based in the Bay Area and faces the future. It actively participates in educational cooperation and exchanges between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, promotes the integration and interoperability of basic education, and strives to become a model of innovative development of education in the Greater Bay Area in the new era. In the future, we will continue to follow the example of Chairman Li Huiqiong to cultivate more talents who will contribute to the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao and promote the integrated development of the Greater Bay Area.
It is hoped that Chairman Li Huiqiong will fulfill her new duties in her new position and lead the Hong Kong Legislative Council to play a greater role in serving the overall development of the country and promoting the integration of Hong Kong and Macao into national development.
