Whenever the redbuds sway gently in the wind and the bougainvillea is as red as fire, I always like to stroll on the streets with a sense of expectation, find a quiet corner, and open the book I carry with me.
Outside is the warm spring breeze, and there seems to be a spring living in my heart. Between the pages of the book, there is a long history, and every word is like a flower, full of grace and beauty. I especially love reading the historical stories about Chinese civilization - they make me feel the endless power of a civilization's historical stories, a resonance that transcends time and space.
In this long river of civilization, we Chinese people are working hand in hand towards a more prosperous tomorrow.

Picking up a pen and laying down paper to copy "Bronze Rubbings" in my spare time has become a ritual in my life to calm my mind. The ink layers on the rubbings reveal the undulations of the bronze inscriptions. The heaviness and mystery that spans thousands of years always make me obsessed with it.
Once, I went to Nanjing with a club for an exchange. My local classmates and I copied the word "De" on the rubbings together. I prefer the rough and crude style of calligraphy combined with bronze inscriptions, while he is accustomed to the delicate and lively style of Nanjing calligraphy. The two brushstrokes are placed on the same rice paper. The simplicity and elegance are intertwined, and an unexpected harmony is created in the fragrance of the ink.
Nowadays, I often share some tips for copying bronze inscriptions online, and share with you how to understand the shape of rubbings and how to figure out the meaning of ancient people’s brushwork. From identifying rubbing marks to imitating pen and ink, every step seems to be in dialogue with a thousand-year-old cultural context. In the process of copying ancient characters, I seemed to touch the long and heavy history behind them, which guided me to continue writing and exploring.

As a descendant of Chaoshan, I have learned English singing and dancing since I was a child. In every leap and bat, I deeply feel the indomitable spirit of my ancestors. In order to pass on this precious cultural heritage, my classmates and I conducted a bold and innovative experiment: integrating traditional Chaoshan gongs and drums with modern electronic music, adding British singing and dancing performances, shooting and making videos, and publishing them on the Internet platform.
This attempt not only brought new vitality to ancient dance steps in the soil of new media, but also successfully attracted many young people to begin to understand and even take the initiative to learn English singing and dancing. This makes me even more convinced that traditional culture does not only exist in the past. As long as it finds the right way to dialogue with the times, it can take root deeply and thrive in new soil.
My mission is to connect the sonorous drum beats of ancient and modern singing and dancing, to resonate with the trendy rhythm of the city, and to jointly compose the surging music of our era.

I have been in love with Shek Wan dolls since I was a child. Every holiday, I would go to the Shek Wan Pottery Factory to explore them. In the glass display cabinet, exquisite ceramic works are quietly displayed one by one: the ancient lady who is sitting lowers her head slightly, with a faint smile on her lips, showing her dignity and gentleness; the old fisherman holding a fishing rod has his eyes wide open and his mouth wide open, and his excitement can be seen on the porcelain. When I was a child, I always liked to stand in front of the glass and look at it carefully, intoxicated by this unique artistic charm.
Nowadays, with the power of social media, Shiwan Ceramic Dolls and Beautiful Pottery Factory are known to more people. This cultural palace carrying the unique artistic genes of Shiwan people is gradually moving beyond Lingnan. In the future, I hope to promote this millennium-old ceramic art to more people, so that ancient skills can be revitalized and shine again in the new era.

Last summer, I followed a research team and walked around the streets and alleys of cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
In Yongqingfang, Guangzhou, the afternoon sun slanted down from between the pillars of the arcade and shone on the Guangxiu booth. The gold and silver threads were so bright that they seemed to be flashing. It was my first time to see traditional skills at such a close distance, and I couldn’t help but linger over it again and again.
In Qianhai, Shenzhen, I witnessed the busy but quiet science and technology park in the morning. The glass building reflected light, and engineers hurried past with backpacks on their backs, discussing their work as they walked. At that moment, I suddenly felt that the word "innovation" was hidden in their daily life.
When we came to Hengqin, Zhuhai, the sea breeze mixed with the smell of moisture blew gently. Young people from different places were sitting in the outdoor teahouse. They chatted about their thoughts in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. Perhaps many cooperation projects in the Greater Bay Area were slowly born out of such chats.
When I stood by the Pearl River one day and watched the waves push one layer forward, I suddenly understood something: growth does not seem to be a person walking forward alone, but more like these currents pushing each other in the same direction, so that we can go further.
In this wave of the times, I hope that I can also become a little wave that strives to move forward.
