Last Friday, the CISH Maple Dragons travelled to Wuhan to compete in the VEX IQ Robotics Tournament, representing our school with skill, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship.
A total of 10 CISH teachers and students participated in the tournament, including a boys’ team of three students (G6: Tiger, Leo G8: Jimmy) and a girls’ team of four students (G6: Chloe, Melina, Fiona, Noelle). Hosted at Wuhan Yangtze International School, the two-day tournament featured a variety of challenges. Day one focused on qualification matches for driving and coding skills, while day two tested students through Engineering Notebook Judging and the final matches.
We are proud to share that our boys’ team won the INSPIRE Award, which qualifies them to represent CISH once again at the ACAMIS National Finals in Shanghai this February. What an outstanding achievement for the team!
VEX IQ Robotics is a STEM learning platform and competition designed for elementary and middle school students, with a strong focus on engineering, block-based and Python coding, and hands-on problem-solving skills. CISH is beyond excited to see our students demonstrate these abilities through collaboration and teamwork during the tournament, truly showcasing the holistic education at CISH and representing the Maple Dragons spirit with pride. Go Maple Dragons!
