"It took me only three days to make this decision, after three months, now I'm so glad I made it." — This is the sentiment expressed by Ms. ZHANG, Vivian's mother from G11A class. This joy stems from seeing her child, while continuing to shine in the new campus, and also achieving an all-round growth in her learning journey.

“High school is a journey of accumulating strength, and this transfer allows me to build up my potential for the future on a more suitable path,”Vivian shared. Four months ago, she transferred to ASJ (Dongguan) from another school to study G11. During her first semester in G11, she continuously explored academics and extracurricular activities: from directing plays and hosting events to achieving excellent results in the Guangdong Provincial Model United Nations English Group and the Foreign Language Proficiency Competition. These experiences broadened her horizons and enhanced her problem-solving abilities.

At her previous school, Vivian chose History, Biology, and Geography as her electives. Due to the unique nature of this combination, she initially faced many difficulties. However, through active adjustments, she overcame these challenges. Her past experiences have led her to believe that an ideal environment should allow her various potentials to develop in synergy. After transferring to ASJ (Dongguan), she had the opportunity to choose her subjects again—putting aside History and choosing the extended module of Mathematics (M2) course, which better suited her strength. Here, she was able to focus on growth in a field that truly suited her, and she transformed her past explorations into motivation for continuous progress.

Vivian's transformation after transferring to ASJ (Dongguan) surprised and delighted Ms. ZHANG. Previously, as a student in a top-tier high school's elite class, she would always come home exhausted on weekends, "not wanting to talk as soon as she got in the car." Now, every Friday after school, she excitedly shares her school life: bullfrog experiments in Biology class, funny stories from her dorm, her favorite dishes in the cafeteria… Ms. ZHANG remarked, "She's come alive, like a real child, with light in her eyes."

Previously, she needed help preparing PPTs and researching information, but now she actively participates in Biology and Geography competitions, keeping herself busy yet fulfilled. "The significance of competitions goes beyond the awards; it's more about the resilience, problem-solving skills, and teamwork that are cultivated in the process," Ms. ZHANG says, seeing her daughter driven by a genuine passion.

This energy extends from her studies to her life. Vivian quickly integrated into the ASJ (Dongguan) community, serving as the radio station manager and hosting numerous school galas. Vivian shared, "These experiences truly made me feel like I belonged in this school." For her, growth became vivid and concrete through these connections and contributions.

Arriving at ASJ (Dongguan), the new HKDSE curriculum presented Vivian with challenges, especially in English. "DSE English was a completely new challenge. My vocabulary was insufficient, and my listening comprehension also gave me a significant setback." Vivian did not back down. She took the initiative to serve as the English class representative, dedicating herself fully to the class and systematically reviewing vocabulary, phrases, and sentence structures after class, starting from the basics to improve.
来到东莞ASJ，全新的HKDSE课程体系给Vivian带来了挑战，尤其是英语。“DSE英文是一个全新的挑战，词汇不足，听力也给了我不小打击。” Vivian没有退缩，她主动担任英语课代表，在课堂上全力投入，在课后系统地整理单词、短语和句式，从基础开始补起。
“I viewed challenges as signposts to clarify my direction. At ASJ (Dongguan), I was able to transform my past experiences into methods for adapting to the new system,” Vivian shared. She adapted her past experiences into learning strategies for the new system: building mind maps and case studies in geography, using diagrams to enhance memory in biology, and summarizing question types and mistakes in M2. These proactive adjustments allowed her to gradually find confidence and rhythm on her new academic path.

Ms. ZHANG described herself as very "picky" when choosing a school, having done extensive research. ASJ (Dongguan)'s HKDSE teaching, diverse pathways to higher education, and its status as a HKDSE participating school accredited by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) quickly convinced her to choose it. "The DSE track offers children endless possibilities; whether it's a top-tier university in the Chinese mainland, a Hong Kong institution, or a prestigious international university, they always have the right to choose."
张女士在择校时自称非常“挑剔”，曾做足功课。而东莞ASJ的香港DSE课程、多元升学路径，以及获香港考评局认证的语考学校资质，让她迅速锁定了这里。“DSE赛道给孩子无限可能，无论是内地的985高校、香港院校还是国际名校，孩子都能保有选择权。”
Besides her appreciation for ASJ (Dongguan) itself, a crucial factor was "Beacon" – especially after attending the information session. "I know that Beacon is a very reputable and well-established brand in Hong Kong, widely recognized. ASJ (Dongguan) already satisfied me, and the collaboration with Beacon is like adding wings to a tiger; it feels like '1+1>3,' not just greater than two, but a wonderful fusion and enhancement."
