Now in its 28th year, Qingdao No. 1 International School of Shandong Province proudly stands as one of the oldest international schools in Qingdao, China. Since its founding in 1998, QISS has welcomed students from around the globe, celebrating the unique qualities each student brings.

산동성 칭다오 제 1국제학교(QISS)는 현재 개교 28주년을 맞이한 학교로, 중국 칭다오에 위치한 가장 오래된 국제학교 중 하나입니다. 1998년 설립 이후, QISS는 전세계 다양한 국가에서 온 학생들을 맞이해 왔으며, 각 학생이 지닌 고유한 개성과 강점을 존중하고 이를 소중히 여기는 교육을 실천해왔습니다.

Under the leadership of School Director Dr. Brian Brumsickle and Principals Mr. Dominic Adie and Ms. Paula O’Connell, QISS is distinguished by its comprehensive educational programs. The Early Years program, uniquely in Shandong, follows the Reggio Emilia Approach. The Lower School adheres to the US Common Core Standards, and the Upper School offers a premier US Common Core structure, culminating in the Advanced Placement program and international university entrance examinations. Across all levels, QISS employs inquiry-based teaching methods, encouraging students to actively engage in exploration and discovery while empowering students to make positive choices about their own learning.

在校长Dr. Brian Brumsickle、副校长Mr. Dominic Adie和Ms. Paula O’ Connell的领导下，QISS以全面的教育项目独树一帜。学前教育阶段采用全山东独有的瑞吉欧教育体系（Reggio Emilia)；小学部遵循美国通用课程核心标准（US Common Core）；中学部在美国通用课程核心课程（US Common Core）体系的基础上，衔接大学先修课程（AP）及国际大学入学考试。全校各年级均采用探究式教学法，既鼓励学生主动探索发现，又赋予他们自主规划学习路径的能力。

QISS는 Dr. Brian Brumsickle 학교장, Mr. Dominic Adie 중고등부 교장, Ms. Paula O'Connell 초등부 교장의 지도 아래, QISS는 폭넓고 체계적인 교육 프로그램으로 차별화된 명성을 쌓아 왔습니다. 유아교육 단계에서는 산동성에서 유일하게 레지오 에밀리아(Reggio Emilia) 접근법을 따르고 있으며, 초등 과정(Lower School)은 미국 공통 핵심 기준(US Common Core Standards)에 기반한 교육을 제공합니다. 중고등과정(Upper School)은 미국 공통 핵심 교육과정을 바탕으로 한 수준 높은 프로그램을 운영하며, AP(Advanced Placement)과정과 국제 대학 진학 시험으로 마무리합니다.

QISS takes pride in its exceptional campus, which spans over 50,000 square meters. Students enjoy modern classrooms, a cutting-edge theater, an air-conditioned gym, a top-tier heated swimming pool, and an artificial turf soccer pitch with a six-lane track.

QISS以卓越的校园环境为傲，园区占地面积逾50,000平方米。学生们可享受现代化的教室、一流的剧院、空调健身房、顶级恒温游泳池，以及配备六道跑道的足球场。

QISS는 50,000 제곱미터가 넘는 규모의 뛰어난 캠퍼스를 자랑합니다. 학생들은 현대적인 교실을 비롯해 최첨단 대강당, 냉방 시설을 갖춘 체육관, 최고 수준의 온수 수영장, 그리고 6레인 트랙이 함께 마련된 인조 잔디 축구장 등 우수한 시설을 자유롭게 이용할 수 있습니다.

The long-time WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) Accredited School continues to strive to be one of the top all-around institutions in the region. Beginning this past Fall, QISS started the process of gaining CIS (Council of International Schools) Accreditation, elevating the international standing, showcasing the commitment to quality education, and fostering global citizenship among the students.

QISS，这所长期获得WASC认证的学校，始终致力于成为青岛地区顶尖的综合性教育机构。自去年秋季起，QISS启动了国际学校理事会（CIS）认证的申请流程。此举不仅提升了学校的国际声誉，彰显了学校对优质教育的坚定承诺，更致力于培养学生的全球公民意识。

오랜 기간  WASC(미국 서부 교육위원회) 인증을 유지해 온 QISS는 지역 내 종합적으로 가장 우수한 교육기관 중 하나가 되기 위해 지속적으로 노력하고 있습니다. 지난 가을부터는  CSI(국제학교협의회)인증절차를 시작하여, 학교의 국제적 위상을 한층 더 높이고 교육의 질에 대한 확고한 의지를 보여주는 동시에 학생들의 세계시민 의식을 함양하고자 하고 있습니다.
