哈罗横琴跨越山海的问候,驰骋1,300公里的“爱心快递”已送达
这个冬天,一场由学生发起的“暖冬行动”的公益行动,让湾区横琴与湖南山区之间,架起了一座温暖的桥。爱,没有距离;善意,可以具体。
一月,哈罗横琴校园里,屠呦呦院舍的Vera和Dragon两位同学正细心整理着一叠卡片。卡片上有名字、年级,身高体重和一个小而真诚的愿望:一个书包、一套画笔、一双温暖的鞋……
一切始于一个简单的“看见”。在充满关爱与支持的环境中成长的他们,曾以为温暖的衣物和期待中的节日礼物,是每个孩子冬天的标配。直到了解到湖南株洲军山小学——那里许多孩子是留守儿童,在略显简陋的校舍里学习,冬日御寒的衣物对他们而言并非理所当然,一份新年礼物是一份奢侈的期待。在Yvonne Yang 老师的支持下,同学们开始行动了。
这个活动在哈罗横琴社区中得到热烈响应,短短几周,御寒衣物、学习用品、体育器材等物资不断汇集,校园一角充满了忙碌而有序的善意。
课余时间,同学们化身“爱心包装员”,细心分类、整理、装箱。他们还在每份礼物中附上了手写的信件,用真诚的笔迹,分享自己的生活,传递鼓励与祝福。
最终,58个纸箱,承载着无数份心意,整装待发。1月19日,这批“新年快递”从温暖的横琴启程,驶向1,300公里外的湖南山区。
四天后,我们收到了最美的“签收证明”。照片里,军山小学的孩子们接过礼物时明亮的眼睛和灿烂的笑容,瞬间温暖了所有参与者的心。
军山小学的徐校长在致谢信中动情地写道:“贵校的善举,不仅体现了对教育的深切关怀与支持,更彰显了高度的社会责任感与仁爱精神。”
教育,在课堂之内,也在行动之中。 这场由学生自主发起并推动的公益行动,生动诠释了哈罗教育所珍视的“领导力特质”:积极参与,奉献社会;心怀仁爱,善用才智。
这份跨越山海的温暖,是这个冬天生动的教育课,也是真挚的新年问候。新年快乐,同学们!
This winter, a student-led “Warm Winter Charity” was launched on the Harrow Hengqin campus, demonstrating fellowship.
In January, on the Harrow Hengqin campus, Vera and Dragon from the Tu Youyou House carefully sorted a stack of cards. Each listed a name, year group, height and weight, and a simple wish: a school bag, art supplies, warm shoes.
Growing up with support, the students had assumed warm clothes and holiday gifts were a given. They then learned about Junshan Primary School in Zhuzhou, Hunan, where many pupils are left-behind children studying in modest facilities. Winter clothing is not guaranteed, and New Year gifts are rare. With the support of Ms Yvonne Yang, they took action.
The Harrow Hengqin community responded quickly. Within weeks, winter clothing, learning materials and sports equipment were collected.
After school, students sorted and packed the donations. Each parcel included a handwritten letter sharing daily life and offering encouragement.
In total, 58 boxes were prepared. On 19 January, the “New Year parcels” left Hengqin for Hunan, 1,300 km away.
Four days later, we received feedback. Photos showed the children at Junshan Primary School receiving their gifts.
The children also wrote back with notes of thanks.
In a letter, the principal of Junshan primary school, Mr Xu wrote: “Your school’s kindness shows deep care for education and a strong sense of social responsibility.”
This student-initiated project reflects the leadership qualities valued at Harrow: making a positive contribution to the community and applying knowledge with compassion.
This project is a sincere New Year greeting. We wish them a prosperous and joyful New Year.
