CISH Celebrates a Successful Giving Hearts Initiative 献出爱心倡议圆满结束

This month, the Canadian International School of Hefei engaged in a schoolwide initiative to help bring a little bit of joy to the Chunyu School. This “Giving Hearts” initiative brought in hundreds of donated gifts for the students at Chunyu School that were delivered to them on Thursday, January 29th!

Beginning in early 2026, this nearly month-long initiative created an outpouring of support, care, and love from CISH students and teachers alike. Overall, we had nearly 200 CISH community members taking part in this meaningful service project. From the inception of the idea, to finally preparation of gifts for students at Chunyu School, every small step of this undertaking reflected the strong spirit of our caring CISH community.

This initiative was not merely about preparing gifts for children in need, but also about raising awareness about autism, the differences children have and emphasizing inclusion. Students on the autism spectrum have a variety of needs, ranging from mild to severe. These students can require support with attention deficits, or more significant sensory and visual support. It is our hope that the thoughtful gifts given to the Chunyu students as part of this initiative not only bring joy to the recipients, but also encourage our students and the wider community to learn more about the autism spectrum.
