爱迪小学部科学课程以探究式学习和实践中学习为核心,覆盖1-6年级,围绕生物、化学、物理、地球与太空四大领域构建阶梯式体系,全程以“提出问题 — 猜想假设 — 动手实践 — 反复验证 — 总结迁移”为流程,呵护学生好奇心,培养科学探究能力。

低年级通过 “纸箱昼夜模型” 等具象项目启蒙,中年级以 “光影小屋” 等实验锤炼逻辑,高年级依托 “流体压强实验” 等开展系统探究,还通过科学嘉年华呈现焰色反应、马德堡半球等六大趣味实验,将抽象知识点转化为可操作实践。



全程以“提出问题 — 猜想假设 — 动手实践 — 反复验证 — 总结迁移”为流程,呵护学生好奇心,培养科学探究能力。


每一个有趣的科学实验,均源自小学科学课程的核心知识点,致力于让孩子们在亲身体验中感受、好奇、着迷于科学学科的魅力。

设计与产出 —— 每个孩子都是“研究者”





我们坚信,科学学习不仅在于“探究”的过程,更在于“输出”的沉淀。


在爱迪的科学课堂上,我们引导孩子自主设计实验步骤,学会对实验数据进行分类、归纳和逻辑整理,最终形成属于自己的探究成果——可能是一张精心制作的科学海报(Poster),清晰呈现实验目的、步骤与结论;可能是一份完整的实验报告,严谨记录每一个数据与发现;也可能是一件充满创意的科学小作品,将所学知识转化为实际应用。



我们重视“成果展示”的每一个环节,鼓励孩子上台分享自己的探究过程、遇到的问题以及最终的收获。因为我们知道,科学不仅在脑中,更在表达中成形;每一次展示,都是对探究能力、逻辑思维和表达能力的双重锻炼,让每个孩子都能感受到“小研究者”的成就感。

反思与积累 —— 培养真正的科学思维





爱迪小学的科学课程,打破了碎片化知识的壁垒,构建了全领域、系统化的课程体系,围绕生物、化学、物理、地球与太空四大核心领域,全面覆盖植物与生命科学的本质,是不断质疑、不断完善的过程,而反思,正是科学思维的核心。


爱迪小学的每一个科学单元,都设有专门的反思环节,引导孩子跳出“只关注实验结果”的局限,深入思考:为什么实验结果和预想的不一样?是变量控制不当,还是假设存在偏差?如果再做一次实验,我会如何改进步骤、优化方案?



我们为每个孩子建立专属的科学学习档案(Portfolio),记录下每一次实验的方案、数据、成果与反思,让孩子在长期积累中看到自己的成长与进步。我们始终强调:科学学习不是一次实验的成功,而是长期的积累与沉淀,是在一次次反思中养成严谨、求真的思维习惯。

双语融合 —— 在科学语境中自然使用英文





爱迪小学的科学教育不仅是中文学习的延伸,更是全球化时代对学生的语言和思维能力的全面培养。双语科学课堂让孩子们在真实的科学语境中,既能掌握科学知识,又能提高英语表达能力。

Science, by nature, invites questioning and discovery. Yet in practice, it is often reduced to definitions to memorize and conclusions to reproduce. When learning centers on recall rather than exploration, understanding becomes fragile and curiosity gradually fades.


At Aidi Primary School, science looks different. We learn science the way scientists do. Curiosity is nurtured with intention, and exploration becomes a habit.



In an era shaped by rapidly evolving AI and technologies that are redefining the world, science has moved far beyond knowledge acquisition. It represents a foundational way of thinking, teaching children to examine the world rationally, analyze problems logically, and explore the unknown with courage.


Scientific literacy is no longer an advantage. It is a core competency that defines future readiness.


At Aidi, we do not aim to simply cultivate students who can solve problems on paper. We strive to nurture individuals with strong scientific literacy. Every child should be able to:

Across their primary years, students complete more than 50 hands-on experiments. When they build models, adjust apparatus, observe phenomena, and test hypotheses, abstract theories become tangible discoveries. Science no longer feels distant.


They begin to think like scientists: questioning, hypothesizing, testing, and refining. Nurturing curiosity, investigative drive, and evidence-based reasoning lies at the heart of Aidi’s science education.



The Aidi Primary Science curriculum spans Grades 1 to 6 and is built on inquiry-based, hands-on learning across four domains: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth and Space.


At every grade level, learning follows a consistent process: raising questions, forming hypotheses, conducting investigations, verifying through repeated testing, and summarizing for transfer. This structure protects curiosity while systematically developing scientific inquiry skills.

  Progressive Inquiry Practice





Scientific thinking is cultivated step by step, aligned with students’ developmental stages.


Lower grades begin with concrete projects such as the “Day and Night Box Model.” Middle grades strengthen logical reasoning through experiments like the “Light and Shadow House.” Upper grades engage in systematic investigations, including fluid pressure experiments.


During the annual Science Carnival, students participate in six immersive experiments such as flame tests and the Magdeburg hemispheres demonstration. Abstract concepts are transformed into direct experience.


Each experiment is rooted in core curriculum knowledge and designed to inspire fascination while deepening understanding.

Design and Output: Every Child as a Researcher





Science learning is not only about inquiry, but also about meaningful output.


Students design experimental procedures, classify and organize data, and form logical conclusions. Their work culminates in concrete outcomes: scientific posters that clearly present purpose and findings, detailed laboratory reports, or creative products that apply scientific concepts.


Presentation is an essential component. Students share their inquiry process, challenges, and insights. Science takes shape not only in thought, but in expression. Each presentation becomes a meaningful exercise in inquiry, reasoning, and articulate expression, allowing every child to experience the identity of a young researcher.

Reflection and Accumulation: Developing True Scientific Thinking





The curriculum moves beyond fragmented knowledge to build a coherent structure across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth and Space. Science advances through questioning and refinement, with reflection at its core.


Every unit includes structured reflection. Students are guided to think beyond results. Why did the outcome differ from the prediction? Were variables controlled effectively, or was the hypothesis inaccurate? How could the procedure be improved in a second trial? 


Each child maintains a personalized Science Portfolio documenting plans, data, results, and reflections. Over time, students see their growth. Scientific learning is not defined by a single success, but by sustained accumulation and the formation of rigorous thinking habits.

Bilingual Integration: Science in a Global Context





Aidi Primary School’s science education responds to the demands of a global era by cultivating both language proficiency and analytical thinking. Through bilingual science instruction, students deepen scientific understanding while strengthening their ability to communicate in English within authentic contexts.


Bilingual instruction is naturally integrated into the classroom. Scientific vocabulary, instructions, and recording templates are presented in both languages. When writing reports or presenting findings, students use English to articulate concepts and procedures in authentic contexts.


This integration turns English into a tool for inquiry. Students gain scientific knowledge while building practical communication skills, laying a foundation for future international study and broader global opportunities.

Comprehensive Coverage: Building a Complete Framework





The curriculum covers life sciences, ecology, geography and environment, natural phenomena and changes in matter, foundational physics, and introductory engineering.


Through systematic design and progressive experimentation, students develop a holistic understanding of science and build a coherent knowledge framework for future study.


Across all grades, Aidi’s student-centered philosophy remains constant. Teachers are facilitators of inquiry rather than providers of answers. They pose questions, encourage bold attempts, allow room for trial and error, and value exploration as much as outcomes.


This approach preserves children’s curiosity and imagination, turning science into a journey of discovery. Clay figures in models and tiny spacecraft beneath paper stars reflect their creativity. Unlocking scientific mysteries with their own hands gives them something lasting: the confidence to explore the unknown.



From first-grade cardboard “mini universes” to middle-grade light and shadow explorations, and from upper-grade laboratory investigations to Science Carnival experiments, Aidi provides more than 50 opportunities for authentic inquiry.


Through projects such as the “Light and Shadow House,” students learn to control variables while developing the habit of questioning and reflection. Critical thinking grows naturally.



Through reports and poster presentations, students strengthen clarity of expression and collaboration skills while sharing their findings.
