A Field Lesson in Patriotism ｜ 7年级学子参与“觉醒之门 英雄之地——寻迹英雄”重走古战场活动

The event officially began on the open terrace of Weiyuan Fort. Our student representative gave a talk on the heroic deeds of "the most distinguished admiral – Guan Tianpei", and we also listened attentively to recitations by representatives from other schools, including "A Letter to Admiral Guan" and "Souls Forged in the Fort". Through vivid storytelling and heartfelt recitations, everyone revisited the history of the Battle of Humen on 26th February 1841: on that day, invading forces attacked the Weiyuan forts, and Guan Tianpei led his troops in a fierce resistance, ultimately sacrificing his life at Jingyuan Fort.

活动在威远炮台露天台正式拉开帷幕。我校学生代表现场讲述了“最杰出的元帅——关天培”的英雄事迹，并认真聆听了其他学校代表朗诵的“见信如见面——给关爷爷的一封信”以及“魂铸炮台”。通过生动的讲述与深情的朗诵，大家共同回顾了1841年2月26日虎门海战的历史：当日，英军进攻威远诸炮台，关天培率领守台将士奋起抵抗，最终在靖远炮台壮烈殉国。

Afterwards, all the participants laid flowers before the statue of Guan Tianpei, paying deep tribute to this national hero.

随后，全体青少年向关天培雕塑敬献鲜花，深切缅怀这位民族英雄。

Following a solemn flag-presenting ceremony, the "Retracing the Historic Battlefield" session officially commenced. The students set off from Weiyuan Fort, passed through Zhenyuan Fort, and finally arrived at Jingyuan Fort. Along the way, they listened to stories of heroes and experienced firsthand the solemnity of those war-torn times. At Jingyuan Fort, where Guan Tianpei made his ultimate sacrifice, our students, together with participants from various places, expressed their commitment to the spirit of patriotism by signing their names, completing a profound lesson in patriotic education.

在庄重的授旗仪式后，“重走古战场”环节正式开启。同学们从威远炮台出发，途经镇远炮台，最终抵达靖远炮台。一路上，大家聆听英雄故事，亲身感受那段烽火岁月的壮烈。在关天培殉难地——靖远炮台，我校学子与各地青少年一同以签名的方式，表达对爱国主义精神的传承，完成了一次深刻的爱国主义洗礼。
