The 2025-26 Season SPBCN Individual Competition (Spelling Bee of China), the largest and most influential English spelling competition in China, is widely regarded as the “Spelling Olympics.”The contest not only tests contestants’ vocabulary, but also places rigorous demands on their mental resilience, listening acuity, and ability to respond under pressure.

本次广州城市赛汇聚了来自广州、佛山两市各区多所学校的拼词精英，竞争异常激烈。我校选手们从初赛开始便稳扎稳打，一路过关斩将。在最为扣人心弦的城市赛决赛阶段，选手们经历了长达10轮的巅峰对决。

赛场上，拼词声此起彼伏，随着单词难度逐级攀升，现场气氛几度白热化。我校选手在面对生僻词汇与高压环境时，依然镇定自若，精准拼读，展现出了远超同龄人的英语素养与心理素质。

This Guangzhou City Final brings together spelling elites from many schools in various districts of Guangzhou and Foshan, and the competition is extremely fierce. From the very start of the preliminaries, our school’s competitors showed consistent performance, clearing every hurdle along the way. In the most exciting final stage of the city competition, the contestants experienced a 10-round peak showdown.

On the stage, contestants took turns spelling words, their voices rising and falling one after another. As the words grew increasingly difficult, the tension in the air became almost unbearable. Yet, when faced with obscure vocabulary and the high-pressure environment, our school’s contestants remained perfectly calm and spelled each word with precision, demonstrating a level of English proficiency and mental resilience far beyond their peers.

After 10 rounds of fierce competition, the final results were settled. The students of our school not only gained a lot in group awards, but also shined in individual honors!

特别值得一提的是，凭借在广州城市赛中的卓越表现，S2的潘*同学和吴*阳同学将代表我校、代表广州赛区，参加于今年5月在北京举行的SPBCN全国总决赛。届时，他们将与来自全国各地的拼词高手同台竞技，向更高的荣誉发起冲击。

It is particularly worth mentioning that, thanks to their outstanding performance in the Guangzhou city competition, Pan * and Wu *yang from S2 will represent our school and the Guangzhou division at the SPBCN National Finals to be held in Beijing this May. There, they will compete with top spellers from across the country and strive for even greater honors.

这些成绩的取得，离不开选手们日复一日地刻苦训练，也离不开英语科组老师们在背后的悉心指导与陪伴。从单词积累到心理建设，从模拟演练到战术分析，师生同心，共同铸就了今日的辉煌。

These achievements would not have been possible without the contestants’ hard work day after day, nor without the meticulous guidance and support of the English Department teachers behind the scenes. From vocabulary building to mental preparation, from mock drills to tactical analysis, teachers and students worked together to forge today’s glory.

此次SPBCN广州城市赛的优异成绩，不仅是我校学子英语综合素养的集中体现，更是我校长期以来坚持“以赛促学、以学促用”教学理念的丰硕成果。学校一直致力于为学生搭建多元化的成长平台，鼓励学生在各类学科竞赛中挑战自我、开阔视野。

The excellent results in the SPBCN Guangzhou City final are not only a concentrated expression of the comprehensive English literacy of our school students, but also the fruitful results of our school's long-term persistence in the teaching philosophy of "promoting learning through competition and promoting application through learning".
