Brian G10

Yvonne Yang

G1 Leah

Can we use our own efforts to make a difference in the world?

Celestial Charity Fair

Three Years of Giving

The highlight of Service Month was the third Celestial Charity Fair. Held on 28 March and led by students, the event saw enthusiastic participation from families. All stall fees were donated to a local animal rescue centre“ Sunny Town” and the Zhuhai Autism Support Association. The whole school community came together to share kindness.

Brian G10

Founder of Celestial Charity Fair

I thought the biggest change from three years was that there's more and more support and passion from students from parents and from the school. One thing that this project taught me that I can not learn in lessons was how we as students can change the world, how we can combine the efforts of all students and parents to make a change to society, to give food to the dogs that are in need or to change the lives of children in poverty. This was very meaningful and I hoped this can inspire other students to contribute to the society too.

Yvonne Yang

Guide Teacher

We had over forty stalls this year, including stalls from our student leaders, students, families and little lions. This charity fair was a true reflection of our holistic approach. Students used their creativities and ideas to create values and raise money to do good. They used their leadership and innovative ideas to make the world a better place.

The fair featured a wide range of stalls, including crafts, games and food, showcasing students’ creativity and effort. Student leaders also contributed in various ways:

Student Council

Student Council sold products featuring artwork by individuals with autism and items from the animal rescue centre.

House Captains

House Captains created colourful sodas inspired by the six house colours.

Wellbeing Ambassadors

Wellbeing Ambassadors hosted a stress-relief activity promoting mental health awareness.

Young Pioneers

Committee

Young Pioneers Committee organised a table tennis game for prizes.

Boarding House

Boarding House shared donated second-hand toys and stationery through interactive activities.

A particularly eye-catching stall invited people to exchange hugs for donations, spreading warmth and kindness.

 Leah's Mother(G1)

Our “Hugs for Peace” stall encourages children to reject violence, show compassion and treat others with kindness.

Small deeds, big impact. The charity fair reflects a holistic education in action. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
