The application process fully simulates the university application procss. From personal statement submission to interview, it is a valuable experience to reflect on your growth journey and self-worth, as well as a practical opportunity to prepare for overseas top university applications in advance.

Message from the Headmaster
on the Student Recognition Award
The Student Recognition Award is designed to attract academically outstanding students who can contribute to the school and the community. This Award reflects a school’s commitment to excellence. We aim to reward students with exceptional achievements in academics, art, music, sports, and community leadership through recognition, and inspire them to bring positive influence to the entire school community with consistent resilience.
Their talents and accomplishments fully embody Harrow’s core values: Courage, Honour, Humility, and Fellowship. Their qualities as lifelong learners, leadership attributes, and forward-thinking mindset will enable them to lead in an ever-changing new era.
They may be highly academic students who inspire and elevate the learning of those around them;
They may be innovators who break through boundaries and unlock unlimited potential in their fields;
They may be learners with impressive attainment and outstanding achievements in the arts;
They may be leaders of community charities and student organizations, with strong empathy and social responsibility.
Both inside and outside the classroom, we believe these students received recognition improve themselves and make a positive impact on the school in remarkable ways. This process will also benefit their future university applications.
Academic Excellence Award
Outstanding academic performance, achieving Grade A or above in core subjects;
Strong independent thinking, proactive exploration, and excellent self-directed learning skills;
Aacademically excellent, with aspirations to apply for top universities in their specialised fields.
Exceptional talent in music, fine arts, design, and related creative fields;
Ranked highly in various internal and external competitions;
Passionate about music/art and intends to pursue further study in the arts in the future.
Courageous to challenge oneself, actively participates in school team training;
Ranked highly in various internal and external competitions;
Passionate about sports and dedicated to improvement, and intends to pursue further progress in sports in the future;
Demonstrates outstanding leadership and the ability to inspire others.
Community Service
& Leadership Award
Strong personal leadership, excelling in leadership and teamwork in school or group-wide activities;
Active sense of social responsibility and commitment to community service;
Has participated in or organised community and public welfare projects with positive outcomes and feedback.
Well-rounded development across academics, arts, sports, leadership, and other areas with outstanding comprehensive qualities.

| How many awards can I apply for? |
Each student may apply for only one category. Students with strengths across multiple areas may apply for the Holistic Award.
Students wishing to be considered for other award categories if unsuccessful in their first application, should tick to indicate this on the application form. All applicants will receive one interview only.
Current students in Years 4 to 12 are eligible to apply.
Please read the details carefully. We welcome all interested applicants, but not all will be invited for interview. Please describe your strengths in detail to support the initial screening.
| What do I need to submit? |
You must complete and submit the application form with supporting attachments.
Art applicants may submit an e-portfolio (optional);
Music applicants may submit a recorded performance clip (optional).
Officially awards or certificates in relevant field.
| What can applicants gain? |
Recipients will receive an official school award certificate and a small financial reward to support achievement development. They will also have opportunities to represent the school at various events.
Most importantly, this is a chance to systematically review your achievements. The entire process—from application to interview, mirrors real university admissions.
| What qualities are we looking for? |
Beyond outstanding performance in their chosen field, we seek students who continuously learn, push themselves, and embody strong Harrow leadership qualities. They will act as role models for the entire student body and inspire peers to explore and develop skills in their passions.
