【获奖喜报】我校学子在袋鼠数学思维趣味活动中斩获多个全国奖项！

袋鼠数学竞赛旨在通过为全球学生提供一个同台竞技、评估能力的契机，来推广数学思维并激发学生对数学的浓厚兴趣。目前已成为全球规模最大的青少年数学竞赛。截至目前，竞赛已在全球 109 个国家和地区开展。2025 年，全球约有 650 万名学生参与了这一数学盛事。

The main purpose of Math Kangaroo is to promote mathematical thinking and stimulate an interest in math, by providing students with an opportunity to compare their abilities worldwide. Math Kangaroo is now the largest math competition for school students in the world. As of now, it has been held in 109 countries and regions. In 2025, approximately 6.5 million students participated globally.

在本年度袋鼠数学竞赛中，西亚斯外籍学校学子凭借扎实的数学功底与灵活的思维能力脱颖而出，多位学生荣获国家级奖项。其中，一名同学斩获全国金奖，两名同学荣获全国银奖，四名同学获得全国铜奖，以及两个数学技能奖项被我们的学子收入囊中。与此同时，还有两名获奖同学成功晋级袋鼠数学亚洲营。（文末附获奖名单）

In this year's Math Kangaroo Competition, Sias IS students stood out with their solid mathematical foundation and agile thinking, with many receiving national-level awards. Among the achievements, one student secured a National Gold Award, while two received National Silvers and four earned National Bronzes. Additionally, our students brought home two Proficiency Awards. Notably, two of these award winners have also successfully qualified for the Math Kangaroo Asia Camp. (The award list is provided at the end of this post.)

In the era of AI and Big Data, international competitions have shifted from rote calculations toward cognitive flexibility, keen insight, and rigorous logical reasoning—all of which are critical attributes valued by top-tier global universities during the admissions process. Our College Counselors stay ahead of global education trends, closely monitoring international and domestic competitions. We strongly encourage our families to actively participate in these events, as they offer not only academic challenges but also a competitive edge to a student’s future university applications.
