As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into learning and everyday life, access to knowledge has become more convenient than ever before. At the same time, the underlying logic of basic education is quietly undergoing transformation.
In response to the intelligent era, how should we reshape the roles of schools and families in education? How can we protect the unique human warmth, aesthetic creativity, and emotional connection that define each child?
The Growth Education (Family Education) College of Guangzhou Children's Palace will proudly present the themed salon "Parenting First Live" on 23 May will launch a keynote salon entitled “The Question of Growth in the Age of AI”, focusing on the redefinition of basic education and family roles in an era shaped by artificial intelligence.
The event will feature two distinguished speakers:
Dr. Li Jiarui, Principal of ISA International Academy Specialist High School, and Zhang Yifeng, Director of Visual Arts Teaching at ISA Liwan International Academy Visual Arts Programme. They will respond to key educational concerns from parents through the perspectives of humanities education and art education, and explore the core abilities that cannot be replaced in the age of AI.
The discussion will be structured around four key themes:
• When AI becomes a “new classmate”, how can primary and secondary education safeguard human uniqueness?
• In an algorithm-driven world, how can family education preserve a child’s emotional space and sense of self?
• In the rise of AI, how can arts education unlock creativity and aesthetic sensitivity in children?
• In an era of human–machine coexistence, how should we redefine “success” for the next generation?
We sincerely invite you to join this on-site dialogue, where experts and parents will come together to explore a more scientific, thoughtful, and human-centred approach to education in the AI era, and to reflect on the future direction of children’s growth
