To strictly enforce campus food safety management, safeguard the health of teachers and students, and reinforce the primary responsibility for school food safety, Wang Yong, Secretary of the Nanhai District Party Committee, led a team to the ASJ (Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao Students) Foshan on June 25 for a special supervision and inspection on food safety, conducting on-site verifications of canteen operations and food safety control measures.

Accompanying the inspection were Huang Jianpeng, Director of the Nanhai District Party Committee Office (District Government Office), relevant heads of the District Market Supervision Administration and District Education Bureau, and Li Canyuan, Member of the Dali Town Party Committee. Deng Qiangguang, Chairman of the Board of ASJ, and the school leadership team of ASJ Foshan accompanied the inspection throughout.

During the inspection, the team went deep into key areas such as the school cafeteria, kitchen preparation zones, and food sampling areas to conduct a comprehensive, full-process verification of campus food safety management. The inspection team listened to detailed briefings on the school's daily food safety controls, the implementation of the leadership-accompanied dining system, the fulfillment of duties by the Parent-Teacher Dietary Supervision Committee, and public science communication on food safety. They also thoroughly reviewed relevant documents, including food sampling logs, ingredient procurement ledgers, sanitation and disinfection records, and employee health files, meticulously verifying the implementation of various food safety management regulations.

Our school always places campus food safety at the forefront of our school management, implementing regular, refined control measures to build a comprehensive defense line for the dietary safety of our teachers and students. Currently, the school strictly enforces a high-standard acceptance inspection system for ingredients entering the campus, tightly controlling the quality at the source. We persist in conducting specialized agricultural product testing twice a day and implement independent sampling and archiving for all types of vegetables, ensuring full traceability and accountability.

In terms of transparency and public supervision, the entire process of the school cafeteria's operations is fully open to the Parent Dietary Supervision Committee. We regularly invite parent representatives to the campus for dish tastings and classroom dining, actively welcoming parental oversight. Meanwhile, the school accepts routine dining supervision and operational guidance from the education department, while proactively cooperating with the market supervision and administration department in conducting comprehensive, detailed food safety inspections and standardized guidance.

Additionally, the school group's catering department conducts irregular, specialized food safety inspections on campus, and employs professional nutritionists to strictly review the weekly menus and analyze nutritional ratios, ensuring the health and safety of our teachers' and students' meals from multiple dimensions.

Secretary Wang Yong fully affirmed our school’s standardized and refined campus food safety management. He pointed out that campus food safety is the top priority of school safety work, bearing directly on the healthy growth of students as well as campus harmony and stability. He emphasized that the school must consistently implement food safety controls, refine management measures, and continuously optimize cafeteria service quality, thereby steadily enhancing the satisfaction of teachers, students, and parents with the school canteen.

Meanwhile, Secretary Wang Yong emphasized that, as a school for Hong Kong and Macao students with distinct Greater Bay Area features, the school should fully leverage its international educational resources and school-running advantages. He urged the school to deeply align with Nanhai’s local educational development blueprint, promoting the complementary and integrated development of Hong Kong and Macao characteristic educational resources and local Greater Bay Area educational strengths, thereby building a solid guarantee for Hong Kong and Macao students to study and pursue further education in the Greater Bay Area.
