2023年，在为孩子挑选幼儿园时，我和大多数家长一样，最大的焦虑来自孩子的英语启蒙。我一直坚定认为：英语不是应试学科，而是一门用来交流的工具。我不希望孩子学成 “哑巴英语”，只会读写做题，却不敢开口、不会沟通。当时我对比了长沙多家幼儿园，最终坚定选择彼一米湘府校区。

转眼即将告别幼儿园，迈入小学新阶段。作为家长，我内心格外踏实、充满底气。三年在彼一米的浸润式成长，让孩子积累了扎实的英语听说功底、良好的课堂专注力、优秀的学习习惯和超强的环境适应能力。这些看不见的软实力，足以支撑他从容应对小学的学习节奏，自信奔赴人生的下一程山海。

Back in 2023, when we were choosing a kindergarten for our child, like many other parents, our biggest concern was his English education. I have always firmly believed that English is not merely an exam-oriented subject, but a tool for communication. I never wanted him to learn "mute English" — able to read, write and finish exercises, yet too shy to speak or interact with others. After comparing many kindergartens across Changsha, we finally decided on BeeMee Xiangfu Campus.

My core expectations were clear: I hoped he could be immersed in an authentic all-English environment all day long, taught by experienced and long-term foreign teachers. Meanwhile, in a high-quality campus, he could take part in special courses including golf, tennis and horse riding to achieve all-round development.

Three years later, I can say with certainty that all my expectations have been fully met and even exceeded. Looking back three years ago, Mumu could only say a few simple words when he first enrolled. He was very shy and never took the initiative to speak English. His transformation over these three years has been clear to see. Thanks to nearly eight hours of daily company from foreign teachers and an all-English campus environment, together with their professional systematic teaching, phonics training and thoughtful after-class guidance, his English has improved steadily. He progressed from single words and short phrases to coherent sentences, and now he can hold fluent daily conversations.

Now six years old, Mumu has authentic pronunciation and speaks with confidence. My child and I can communicate fully in English without barriers. We use English in about 80 percent of our daily situations, and he can fully understand me even when I occasionally mix Chinese and English. I am truly amazed. With his current listening and speaking skills, he could adapt seamlessly to primary schools in Australia and New Zealand, or join short-term overseas study programs and keep up with local classes easily. Such progress was far beyond my imagination three years ago.

The annual English Talent Show hosted by the kindergarten has also been a wonderful platform for his growth. Once nervous and stage-frightened, he can now present full performances calmly and confidently. Every time I prepare for competitions with him and watch him shine on stage, I feel extremely proud.

Beyond stage performances, English has long become part of his daily life. After each IEYC inquiry lesson and outdoor forest class, he takes the initiative to share what he has learned and his discoveries in English. He even acts as a little teacher, patiently teaching us parent-child English dialogues. This genuine passion and willingness to learn are far more valuable than any grades.

What surprises me most about the past three years at BeeMee is that his growth is never limited to English improvement. Compared with three years ago, Mumu has made remarkable all-round progress, which fills me with great joy: he is now cheerful, confident and outgoing, brave enough to make friends and get along well with others; he has developed a strong sense of discipline and good self-care ability, and approaches tasks with patience and a strong sense of responsibility; he keeps a strong curiosity and desire to explore. He loves thinking, dares to ask questions, and always takes good care of his classmates.

Many friends around me ask why my child has made such rapid progress in English listening and speaking. My answer has always been the same: a child’s education never relies on the school alone. Before we know it, it is time to leave kindergarten and step into primary school. As a parent, I feel fully assured and confident. Three years of immersive learning at BeeMee have given him solid English listening and speaking skills, good concentration in class, excellent learning habits and strong adaptability. These valuable soft skills will help him adapt smoothly to primary school life and confidently embrace the next stage of his journey.
