卡内基梅隆大学机器人学院为VEX的学术支持，开展编程师认证项目，还开展了以VEX机器人基础的steam课程，并在过去的20年时间作为校本课程在全美的中小学，为学生提供了专业的Steam活动。

在今年圣诞节我们将会开展一场基于VEX—IQ活动的圣诞活动营。

VEX is a robotics project backed by NASA, EMC, Chevron, Texas Instruments, Northrop Grumman, and other U.S. companies. At the same time, VEX is also the robot competition with the largest number of participants in the world. More than 70 countries and regions around the world hold more than 3,000 competitions every year, with more than one million participants, which has a huge user group and social effect.

Carnegie Mellon University's School of Robotics provides academic support for VEX with a programmer certification program, a steam course based on VEX Robotics, and has offered professional steam activities as a school-based curriculum in elementary and secondary schools across the United States for the past 20 years.

Strong competition groups, strong academic support, make VEX the most popular robotics event in the world.

This Christmas we will have a Christmas camp based on the VEX-IQ campaign.

活动时间：活动时间为圣诞假期，12月17日至23日。七天营，每天上午9点至12点， 下午14点至17点，在学校用午餐。

集训招募年龄G1至G8，10人开营，每个营不超过20人。

★Christmas Camp Location: SAIS school campus

★Activity time: The activity time is in Christmas holiday Dec. 17th to Dec. 23th. Seven-day camp, from 09:00am--12:00pm，14:00pm--17:00pm every day. Student will have lunch at school.

★Recruit 10 students from G1 to G8 for intensive training, with no more than 20 people in each camp.

圣诞营费用18800元/人，1000元/人器材损耗费用，共计19800元/人。

在这次活动中学生将收获到：

1. 本次活动源自卡内基梅隆大学机器人学院VEX课程内容以及2022—2023年VEX世锦赛竞赛题目。通过本次活动，学生能够学习到来自美国的STEAM课程。

2. 完成学习的学生后期只需要参加进阶集训，可参加VEX—IQ的竞赛活动。

3. 学生参加活动后，基础学科成绩会有所提高，掌握基础学科之间的灵活运用。

4. 工程笔记的编写，可以作为参与理工科实践的活动的辅助材料，有助于学生日后升学，申请理工科相关专业的offer。

What you can get in this activity：

1. This activity is based on the VEX course content of Carnegie Mellon University's School of Robotics and the title of the VEX World Championships 2022-2023 competition. Through this activity, students can learn STEAM courses from the United States.

2. Students who have completed the study only need to participate in the advanced intensive training in the later stage, and can participate in the VEX-IQ competition.

3. After students participate in the activity, their scores of basic subjects will be improved, and they will master the application of basic subjects.

4. The preparation of engineering notes can be used as auxiliary materials to participate in the activities of science and engineering practice, which will help students to apply for the offer of science and engineering majors in the future.
