东莞ASJ学子获全港理财争霸战2024亚军

During the summer holidays, 2 secondary students from ASJ (Dongguan), Vicky XIAO and Gigi ZHANG, went to Hong Kong with their homeroom teacher, Ms. Elaine LUO, to participate in the "Hong Kong Financial Literacy Championship 2024" organised by the Hong Kong Education Bureau.

暑假期间，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校中学部的肖诗琪和张沛琪同学，在班主任骆婷婷老师的带领下前往香港，参加了由香港教育局举办的“全港理财争霸战2024”。

In addition to the ten Hong Kong school finalists, the organisers also invited five schools from the Greater Bay Area to compete for the awards. In this fierce competition, the "ASJ Dongguan Roast Goose Team", made up of these two students, performed outstandingly and won second place in the GBA Invitational Competition with their innovative application proposal "Dongguan Roast Goose City GO", making them the most outstanding team among the invited schools.

参与总决赛的除了香港本地的10支入围学校队伍以外，主办方还邀请了5所来自大湾区的学校一起竞逐奖项。在这场激烈的竞赛中，肖诗琪和张沛琪同学组成的“ASJ东莞烧鹅队”表现出色，凭借其创新的应用程式提案《东莞烧鹅City GO》，荣获大湾区邀请赛亚军，成为受邀学校中成绩最为突出的队伍。

The Hong Kong Financial Literacy Championship is an important student activity under the Hong Kong Education Bureau's Financial Education School Award Scheme, which is widely supported and participated in by the Hong Kong education sector. The programme is dedicated to fostering secondary school students' understanding of innovation, financial technology and artificial intelligence, helping them to develop proper financial management concepts and become future financial leaders.

“全港理财争霸战”是香港教育局纳入《理财教育学校奖励计划》的重点学生活动，受到全港学界的广泛支持和参与。该活动致力于培养中学生对创新、金融科技、人工智能等领域的认识，帮助他们树立正确的理财观念，激发创新精神，为成为未来金融领域的佼佼者打下坚实基础。

In the proposal, the two students explained that the app aims to create an exclusive community for roast goose lovers and contribute to the economic development of Dongguan. Their innovative ideas such as "Roast goose special line (driverless car lines)", "AI summarises customer evaluation" and "AI detects customer flow", cleverly integrated with the current hotspots of science and technology, demonstrated their deep understanding of new technologies and application capabilities.

在提案中，两位同学阐述了该应用程式旨在为烧鹅爱好者打造一个专属社区，以此推动东莞经济的繁荣发展。她们提出的“无人驾驶汽车结合烧鹅专线” “AI总结客户评价” 及 “AI检测顾客流量”等创新理念，巧妙融合了当下的科技热点，展现了他们对新科技的深刻理解和应用能力，令人赞叹不已。

Mr. CHAN Wai Man, Vice President of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, said: "Financial management is a life skill, and financial management education should start at an early age and continue to be lifelong learning. I especially like the idea of Dongguan Roast Goose City GO, Dongguan roast goose is very famous, and I hope this app can be applied in Hong Kong one day."

香港金融管理局副总裁陈维民表示：“理财属生活技能，理财教育宜从小开始，终身学习。特别喜爱东莞烧鹅City GO的创意，东莞烧鹅美名在外，也希望这个应用程序有一天能在香港应用。”

Ms. Joyee LAM, senior sustainable finance analyst at S&P Global Ratings, said she had been nervous about the students' preparation and was impressed that the team was able to complete their proposal within a few days and won the award.

标普全球评级可持续金融高级分析师林组懿表示，一直以来都为学生的备战过程感到紧张，最后队伍能在试后的数天内完成准备工作，并在比赛中获得佳绩，感到喜出望外。

"From conception to proposal presentation, we proved ourselves with magical 72 hours, as the only junior high school team in this competition, our creativity and strength amazed the whole audience and made ASJ (Dongguan) proud. Don't give up on challenges and always be brave, we are stronger than we think!"

“从构思再到成果展示，我们用神奇的72小时证明了自己，作为现场唯一一支初中生队伍，我们也用创意和实力惊艳了全场，成就了东莞ASJ疯狂吸粉的一天。面对挑战不要轻言放弃，勇敢跨越，我们比想象中的自己更强大！”

"72 hours of brainstorming would not have been possible without the guidance of our teacher. We also went through two major revisions of our proposal during this time, which was tough, but each time we got better and thankfully the work paid off in the end!"

“经历了72小时的头脑风暴，从创作内容到结构分析，都离不开我们老师的指导。期间我们还经历了两次PPT大换血，例如内容偏题，概念不清晰，但每一次都是经验的积累，虽然奋斗到凌晨，幸亏功夫不负有心人！”

"This was a fun challenge, I met a lot of new teachers and students from other schools and learnt a lot of financial knowledge. I also realised the importance of teamwork and communication after going through this competition, and I am looking forward to the next one!"
