As the new COVID-19 case in Shanghai was confirmed on 9th November, and the rowing center was only roughly 10 kilometers from the site where the case was detected, we have temporarily suspended rowing training for several times for the safety concerns. Students who take the rowing course can take part in other elite sports courses during this time. However, according to the latest information from the government, there are no new cases in the surrounding areas, the rowing courses will return to normal starting from next week.

Also due to safety concerns, the U15 football match with YK Pao School on 11th November and the sailing race in Zhoushan on 20th November was also postponed, which is a pity for the students who have been actively training and preparing.

The sports training in school was actively being carried out, and the students are enjoying their sports. They also showed a good competitive level in the many competitions held in school. Our basketball team is improving at an amazing pace. I believe that from the next month until March next year, they will perform very well in the long league season.

Upcoming Sports Events:

On the afternoon of 29th November, the Lucton rowing team, made up of eight excellent students of Year 12, will take part in the first rowing competition of this term. These students are Olivia Z., Cindy X., Coco P., Shelley Y., Peter W., Steven L., Bobby S. and Frank L, all of them have been systematically training for a long time. I believe they will surely achieve good results in the competition.
