1月底，我们完成了本学年的第二次MAP测试。基于MAP测试结果，结合学生GPA和科目老师反馈情况，我们在2月开学前完成了新一轮的分班教学调整工作。
MAP测试能够准确反映学生当前的学业水平，以此为参考数据之一，进行分级教学。诺美学校每学年都会进行3轮MAP测试，及时搜集分析学生学习情况，适时调整班制，实现更具适配性的教学。
The second MAP test results of this semester have been released at the end of January. Based on the MAP test results in January and the students' GPA and subject teachers' feedback, we would complete a new round of teaching adjustment.
MAP test can accurately reflect the current academic level of students, which can be used as one of the reference data for graded teaching. NAIS conducts three rounds of MAP test every academic year, collects and analyzes students' learning situation in time, and achieve more adaptive teaching.

MAP Growth是诺美学校一直以来使用的测试软件，不仅追踪学生本身的学术能力增长，也能和世界各地学生的表现进行比较，了解我们的学生在全球范围内所处的语言水平层级。
考试后，家长会收到下图所示的报告，每一位班主任也会基于报告和家长进行沟通。
图例：蓝色的是学生的成绩，橙色的是年级平均分，黄色的是美国同龄的孩子的平均分。FA20是开学初的成绩，WI21是学期末的成绩。右侧的表格里的percentile range会显示这个学生比多少比例的孩子成绩优异，例如这个孩子的语言使用胜过88%的学生。

数据指导，差异化教学
考试后，老师对自己学生的MAP增长情况进行分析，并借此调整教学计划。教学部整体对各年级的增长情况进行分析，在更宏观层面，发现问题、解决问题。
图例：黄色菱形是MAP的预期增长值，蓝色柱形是我们学校各年级的实际增长值。
根据学生发展情况差异化及班级整体表现水平，对每周每日教课安排作出调整，并对学生进行个性化、针对性辅导。这也是诺美差异化教学的组成元素之一。
This is also one of the components of differentiated teaching in our school. According to the differentiated development of students and the overall performance of the class, the weekly and daily teaching schedule will be adjusted, and students will be given personalized and targeted guidance.

思考是人类最大的乐趣！
这次Map中我的Science成绩提高了22分也验证了这句话。在理科学习中，我比以前更愿意思考和积极回答问题，遇到不懂的问题，我会课后找科学老师解决，以提高学习的自觉性和兴趣。对于十年级的我选择化学确实是一个很大的挑战，韩老师和高年级的同学都给予我很大的学习动力，让我更深刻地领悟到逻辑思维和分析解题能力是理科学习的必胜法宝。尤其化学Project项目，让我们自行选择主题、写主题报告、做PPT、主题海报和主题演讲，这对综合能力的培养是非常棒的体验！这就是学习理科的魅力所在！
Thinking is the greatest pleasure of mankind! This statement was also verified by the 22 points increase in my score of Science in MAP. In the study of science, I am more willing to think and answer questions actively than before. When I encounter problems I don't understand, I will ask the science teacher after class to solve them, so as to improve my consciousness and interest in learning. It was really a big challenge for me to choose chemistry in Grade 10. Both Ms. Han and my senior classmates gave me great motivation to study, which made me more deeply understand that logical thinking and analytical problem-solving ability are the magic weapons to succeed in science learning. Especially for the chemistry Project, we can choose the theme, write the theme report and make PPT, theme poster and keynote speech by ourselves, which is a great experience for cultivating our comprehensive ability! This is the charm of learning science!

学海无涯，学习这件事，就像在大海里驾驶一艘船。有时顺风，只需随波就可逐流，有时无风或者逆风，想继续前行免不得要努力掌舵，奋力划船，每个人都会有不同的体会。我觉得自己的兴趣就像是波浪，感兴趣的内容推动自己，学习也不觉得辛苦，老师有趣的讲解，互动的教学就像是风，风推浪进，越学越有兴趣。不过如果碰上自己不太擅长的领域，或者是基础还不够扎实的课程，可千万要记得别放弃，跟着老师认真听如把好舵，好好练习像努力划船，依然可以不断地前进。我本学期的学习在数学课上可算是顺风顺水吧，原来没有得过第一名，这次MAP考试得第一我很开心，感谢老师。因为老师讲课很有趣，然后有很多互动学习，并且别人遇到不会的时候我可以帮助他们，让我觉得有成就感。最大的困难是作业难度增加了，还有就是英语学习还是需要不断努力提高。我觉得自己做的还是不够，有时还是比较按自己的兴趣。老师们一直给我鼓励，督促我。我要从基础做起，弥补自己以前的不足，希望自己能够在下学期做的更好，取得更全面的进步。
Learning is like sailing a ship in the sea. With tail wind, you just need to follow the waves. While there is no wind or headwind, you have to work hard to steer and row to move forward. I think interest is like a wave. You never feel hard if all your effort is driven by interest. Engaging lectures and interactive teaching are wind, pushing waves forward. The more you learn, the more you want to learn. However, if you come across a field you are not good at or a hard course, you must remember not to give up. Following teachers steer the ship and hard practice hard rows the ship forward against storm. Learning mathematics this semester is like sailing with a tail wind. It’s the first time I got first place in MAP test for math subject. I am so happy about this and feel grateful to my teacher Jane. Her lectures are very interesting, with a lot of interactive learning. I feel rewarded when I help others in math. The biggest challenge this semester is that my homework gets more difficult and I still have lots to improve in terms of English learning. I am still a bit interest-driven and I need to review the basics and solidify my foundation. With encouragement and support from my teacher, I look forward to a better me next semester.

学习是知识积累和输出的过程，对于语言习得以及阅读能力培养更加是如此，要有输出，得有一个扎实的基础，尤其是词汇基础。词汇基础的累积不能三天打鱼两天晒网，要持之以恒，我有时也不是很好的管好自己，但是我会把所有该做的任务做完再去放松，譬如每天完成校内科目的词汇背诵。在这个学期里我在完成学校的科目时，我也在强化学习标化成绩雅思考试，因为雅思考试需要大量的词汇量，我也会在每天完成学习任务后增加词汇量，所以我不仅在雅思的阅读有了提高，在学校的map测试中，我也得到了很显著的进步。
Learning is the process of knowledge accumulation and output. This is especially true for language acquisition and the cultivation of reading ability. To have output, there must be a solid foundation, especially a vocabulary foundation. The accumulation of vocabulary foundation cannot be three days fishing and two days surfing the net. It is necessary to persevere. Sometimes I don’t manage myself very well, but I will relax after finishing the tasks that I should do, such as completing school subjects every day and memorizing vocabulary. In this semester, while completing the school subjects, I was also studying for the standardized IELTS test. Since the IELTS test requires a lot of vocabulary, I also recited vocabularies after completing the learning tasks every day. Therefore I did not only improve in IELTS reading part, but also in the school map test.

在平常的课堂和学习中，我会积极回答问题，有什么不懂的会主动去问老师，有很重要的知识点我会把它记到课堂笔记中去。这样就会帮助我把重点知识记得更牢固。我觉得本学期最大的进步就是科学这门课程。在刚开学的时候，我的科学是非常薄弱的。因为之前几年的体制内学习，没有接触过全英文的教学。在科学课上，我会有很多听不懂的地方，要通过询问同学才可以知道。但是现在我可以自己理解科学的知识，在科学考试中也有很大的进步。我用老师教给我的办法，要多记科学的专业词汇，多记笔记。在每次考试之前，我都要把老师所说的知识再理解一遍，以及词汇也要再巩固一下。把要考的知识点都罗列到一张纸上，再集中复习，加深印象。这样我的成绩在一步步提高。
In the ordinary class and study, I will answer questions actively, ask the teacher if there is something I don't understand, and write down some important knowledge points in the class notes. This will help me remember the important information more firmly. I think the biggest progress is the science. At the beginning of the term, my science was very weak. Because of the learning within the system for year, I have not been engaged in all-English learning. In science class, there will be a lot of places I don't understand, I had to ask the classmates. But now I can understand the knowledge of science by myself and have made great progress in the science exam. I use the way the teacher taught me, to remember more scientific professional vocabulary. Before each test, I list all the knowledge points on a piece of paper, and then deepen the impression. In this way, my grades are improving step by step.
