湖波激荡，千“桨”竞渡 | 莱克顿学子2023赛艇大师赛·南京站再战满誉而归

2023年5月13日到14日第五届南京国际水上运动节暨2023南京赛艇大师赛•青少年赛艇俱乐部联赛在“亚洲最美赛道”玄武湖成功举办。

东枕紫金明城墙，听阅六朝兵将声，时转人事易，如今誉满金陵的明珠玄武湖上人们以另一种声音呐喊冲刺着。此次“中国赛艇大师赛•南京站”是国内最大规模的赛艇赛事之一，赛事共吸引了全国约80支队伍近1500人参赛，其中青少年600人，本次赛事中青少年赛艇选手人数突破历史，并在赛道上展现了非凡的潜力。

From May 13th to 14th, 2023, the fifth Nanjing International Water Sports Festival and the 2023 Nanjing Rowing Masters, were successfully held on the Xuanwu Lake.

This event witnessed a historic breakthrough in the number of youth rowers, showcasing their extraordinary potential on the racecourse.

赛艇，一项人与自然完美结合的运动，作为莱克顿格外重视的五项特色运动项目（马术、赛艇、帆船、射箭和高尔夫）之一，于2021年建立莱克顿赛艇俱乐部。最终队员们在青少年C组男子四人双桨赛与女子C组双人双桨赛中勇夺第三！恭喜莱克顿赛艇队！

Rowing, a sport that embodies the perfect integration of humans and nature, is one of the five distinctive sports at Lucton School, alongside equestrianism, sailing, archery, and golf. Our team achieved third place in the Men's Coxless Quadruple Sculls and the Women's Coxed Double Sculls in the Youth C! Congratulations to the Lucton Rowing Team!

赛艇队的每一位队员每周都会在赛艇上付出超过8个小时的训练时间。大家团结向上，一次次用尽全力的样子一直都是我非常引以为傲的地方。手上无数的老茧，黝黑的肤色也见证了他们在赛艇生活中的点点滴滴。

这是我们第二次参加南京大师赛，从上一次的C组女子四人双桨的全国冠军，到这次C组女子两人双桨的和男子四人双桨的全国第三，整体的成绩都是处在全国青少年中等以上的水平，个别的孩子也在这次比赛中证明了自己不俗的实力。这些都离不开他们日积月累的付出。赛艇是一项需要大家高度团结的项目，要做到目标一致，动作一致，这些离不开他们对彼此的信任和默契，今年也是我们莱克顿接触赛艇项目的第五个年头，我非常开心能够陪伴着他们的成长，也愿我们莱克顿赛艇队的每一个队员未来可期。

Each member of the rowing team devotes over eight hours of training on the boat every week. Their unity, constant exertion, and unwavering determination have always been something I am extremely proud of.

This is our second time participating in the Nanjing Masters, and our overall performance has consistently been at an above-average level among youth rowers nationwide. Rowing is a sport that requires a high level of teamwork, which relies on their synergy with each other. This year also marks the fifth year of our involvement in the rowing program at Lucton, and I am delighted to witness their growth.

“划然长啸，草木震动，山鸣谷应，风起水涌”，此次赛艇联赛继续“以赛艇为媒”，把“零碳排、水保护”的环保理念推广，展示各界社会力量参与全球治理的行动。这与莱克顿学校一直以来的环保公益理念一致，莱克顿学子热情参与其中，展望中国赛艇与世界赛艇积极促进环境保护的未来场景。

有收获也会有遗憾，有怅然若失也有众望所归，有精彩的成绩也有傲人的意志。我们相信通过赛艇运动，能够培养学生们拥有荣辱与共的团队精神、不屈不挠的挑战精神和高度的自律能力，这些正契合莱克顿精神与莱克顿人的品质。希望凝聚更多的人加入到赛艇运动中来，将赛艇环保、公益、健康、运动的理念传递给更多人。

There are always gains and regrets. But we believe that through rowing, we can cultivate in students a team spirit of shared honor and disgrace, perseverance, and self-discipline. These qualities perfectly match the Lucton spirit and the character. We hope to gather more people to join rowing and spread the ideals of environmental protection, public welfare, health, and sportsmanship to a wider audience.
