The Secondary School will adhere to the highly personalized, "one class schedule for each scholar", and offer 83 courses in 2023-2024 academic year, so that scholars can choose according to their own academic foundation, learning ability and development interests, and support scholars to develop their own strengths.
AP courses have been further enriched in high school and middle school, with 19 AP (Advanced Placement) courses of balanced liberal arts and science, including AP Pre-calculus, AP Physics C, AP Drawing and other popular courses for scholars. At the same time, the school introduced the AP Capstone program this year, and opened AP Seminar (AP Seminar and AP Research) for scholars with outstanding academic ability. As one of the characteristics of HC, it provides long-term planning consultation for families from grade 7, regular scholar interviews in grade 9, and one-to-one guidance in grade 11 to help scholars know themselves in all aspects of course selection planning, exam preparation, extracurricular activities and career interest exploration, university application and even study life. At the beginning of the school year, the SS will hold a "Curriculum Night" themed event, allowing parents to get a close look at the teaching of various subjects and the campus life of our scholars. Additionally, professional teachers will share insights and discuss the changes and constants in overseas university admissions, helping parents deepen their understanding of overseas universities and the education system.
