金秋九月，硕果飘香，又是一年开学季，崭新的面孔为学校注入活力，在挥手迎接未来的时刻，让我们一起回顾下今年上海美达菲烛光迎新活动的精彩瞬间吧~

A new semester begins in the golden and fruitful autumn of September. The new faces of students have added to the vitality of the school. Let’s go over the wonderful moments of the candlelight party of Macddufie when waving to the future.

烛光晚会是美达菲学校传承百年的传统活动，起源于1890年美达菲Granby总校，在每年的新学期伊始，大家都会环绕在篝火旁，传递烛光，梦想和希望。在生活逐渐缺乏仪式感的当下，这项具有仪式感的活动，象征着新旧交融，提高了学校的凝聚力，也体现着美达菲的校园文化。

The Candlelight Party is a century-old tradition of the MacDuffie School, which originated in 1890 at the Granby Main School of MacDuffie. At the beginning of each new semester, everyone will surround the campfire to pass on candlelight, dreams and hopes. At a time when life is gradually lacking sense of ritual, this activity symbolizes the integration of the old and the new, improves the cohesion of the school, and also reflects the campus culture of MacDuffie.

在烛光之夜现场，美丽的夜色中充满温馨的气息，欢快舒缓的音乐围绕耳边，伴随着音乐的节奏，同学们纷纷挥动起手中的烛光，闪闪的烛光点燃了每个人心中的热情，每个人都沉浸在欢乐的海洋中。

On the scene of the candlelight night, the beautiful night is full of warm atmosphere. With cheerful and soothing music around the ear and accompanied by the rhythm of the music, the students waved the candlelight in their hands. The glittering candlelight ignited the enthusiasm in everyone's heart. Everyone was immersed in the ocean of joy.

整齐的舞蹈，如刚升的太阳朝气蓬勃，光彩四射，器乐的演奏，如汩汩细流粼粼音符，洗涤心灵的尘埃，悠扬轻柔的歌声，表达最真挚的热情，这里有四季温柔绚烂的景色，有青春韶华，更有浓厚的校园艺术氛围，真正实现了“怀中国心 做世界人”的办学理念。

Neat dance, vibrant and brilliant as the rising sun; instrumental performance, like gurgling flow of sparkling notes, washing off the dust of the soul; melodious and gentle singing, expressing the most sincere enthusiasm. Here, you can see splendid sceneries of the four seasons, the glorious youth and the strong artistic atmosphere of the campus, which show the school value of “be a world citizen with a Chinese heart.”

什么是青春该有的模样？《蒲公英的约定》将年少的青春完美诠释，说唱人怀揣自由的灵魂带来《麒麟》和原创歌曲《LEVEL》，一路迎风追梦前行，今日，我们在此起航，唱歌，跳舞，架子鼓和吉他，点燃全场，弹唱《年轮》声声扣人心弦，歌曲《童言无忌》《平凡之路》《演员》，唱响希望，逐梦飞翔，曼妙惊艳的《繁花》、《寄明月》、《spicy》、《Money&Don’t know what to do》让在座的每个人沦陷，爱与我们同行，愿生活、梦想、未来都能如我们所愿。

Today, we set sail here, singing, dancing, playing drums and guitar, lighting the scene, playing and singing "Rings" . Songs "Children's Words" "Ordinary road" "actors", expressed our hope.”Fan Hua", "Ji Ming Yue", "spicy", "Money&Don't know what to do" let everyone present fall in love. May our life, dreams and future be realized as we wish.

随着篝火的持续燃烧，全体师生的热情也已被这火焰所点燃。“集体、正直、尊重、创造力、领导力、卓越”六大价值观深深印在每一位美达菲学子心中，烛光辉映着我们的笑脸，歌声荡漾着我们的心潮。跟着耀眼的阳光，伴着优美的旋律，我们相信即使生活遇到黑暗，也能够靠心中的烛光将黑暗点亮！

As the bonfire continued to burn, the enthusiasm of all teachers and students was ignited by the flame. The six values of "Community, Integrity, Respect, Creativity, Leadership and Excellence" are deeply imprinted in the hearts of every Macduffie student. Candlelight reflected our smiling faces and songs rippled in our hearts. With the dazzling sunshine, accompanied by beautiful melody, we believed that even if life meets the darkness, we can light up the darkness with the candlelight in our heart!
