“系”字的起源可追溯至甲骨文，代表着“绳结”与“连接”的力量。

我们的艺术创作正如同这绳结，紧密联结着我们与世界。每件艺术作品都是我们耀华古北学子想象力与创造力的结晶，展示了我们对世界的独特观察与深刻思考。这些作品不仅仅是自我的艺术表达，更是对环境与人类情感的深刻反映。

本次展览以“系”为主题，是连接也是传承，象征着上海耀华古北的艺术根基和未来的希望。上海耀华古北如同绳子的开端，为我们的艺术创作提供坚实的平台；绳子的无限蔓延则代表着我们对美好未来的憧憬。我们相信，是因为艺术，带领我们将这根艺术之绳延展至世界的不同角落，继续我们的艺术探索之路。

作为上海耀华古北2024届毕业生，我们在创作中互相支持、鼓励、启发。这种联结不仅存在于我们之间，也延伸至我们的学校、老师、家庭、社区、以及每一位莅临展览现场的观众之间。我们希望通过本次“系”主题展览，与你我、我们，建立起更加紧密的联系，分享我们对艺术的无限热爱与真挚追求。

本次展览，由展览委员会成员吴佳悦、卞怡娜、顾安绮、阳滨冰、周逸帆同学共同参与策划和组织，由张露心老师与李雷老师共同担任学术主持。特别感谢视觉艺术组，David Leung 老师、Irina Banari 老师、Senan Lavery 老师、William Ordonez 老师、 Paula Rodriguez 老师、吴岳乔老师、吴穹激老师、仲子涵老师、陆伟耀老师对我们的教导与鼓励。最后，我们也要感谢校长Doug Woodruff 先生、学校业务总经理兼署理副校长张锐先生，以及全校师生和家长们对我们的信任与支持。

The origin of the character "系" can be traced back to the oracle bone script, representing the power of "Knot" and "Links & Connection".

Our artistic creations resemble these knots, closely linking us with the world. Each artwork is a product of the imagination and creativity of us, the students of YWIES Shanghai Gubei, showcasing our unique observations and profound reflections on the world. These works are personal expressions of art and profound reflections on the environment and human emotions.

This exhibition, themed "The Links ", symbolizes both linkage and heritage, representing the artistic foundation of YWIES Shanghai Gubei and the hope for the future. YWIES Shanghai Gubei is like the beginning of a rope, providing a solid platform for our artistic creations; the endless extension of the rope symbolizes our yearning for a beautiful future. Through art, we can extend this rope of art to different corners of the world, continuing our journey of artistic exploration.

As the 2024 graduates of YWIES Shanghai Gubei, we support, encourage, and inspire each other in our creations. This connection exists among us and extends to our school, teachers, families, community, and every visitor to the exhibition. Through this "Links" themed exhibition, we hope to establish a closer bond between you and us, sharing our boundless love for and sincere pursuit of art.

This exhibition was collectively curated and organized by the Exhibition Committee members: Amy Wu, Rebecca Bian, Anqi Gu, Candice Yang, and Lynn Zhou. Ms. Luxin Zhang and Mr. Myko Li jointly oversaw the Academic Direction of the Exhibition. We extend our special thanks to all the Visual Art Department teachers, including Mr. David Leung, Ms. Irina Banari, Mr. Senan Lavery, Mr. William Ordonez, Ms. Paula Rodriguez, Ms. Qiao Wu, Mr. Revelin Wu, Ms Zia Zhong and Mr Kevin Lu, for their guidance and encouragement. Finally, we also want to thank our Principal Mr. Doug Woodruff, Acting Vice Principal and School Business Manager Mr. Ray Zhang, and all the faculty, parents, and students for their trust and support.

上海耀华古北校区于2001年建校，已办学23年，隶属于传承90年优质教育的耀中耀华教育网络。

校区位于上海长宁区市中心位置，开设三年制艺术设计特色课程，提供广泛艺术设计细分门类。学校采用全英语授课，为每一位学生量身打造作品集与升学辅导。

我们通过跨学科融合的方式塑造学生认知，在教授技能之外，更注重培养艺术家和设计师所需的艺术思维与能力，致力于提供真正适合中国学生的艺术教育。

Founded in 2001, the YWIES Shanghai Gubei Campus has been in operation for 23 years and is part of the Yew Chung Yew Wah Education Network, which has a 90-year history of running schools.

The campus is in the city center of Changning District, Shanghai. The school offers a three-year program featuring art and design with a wide selection of optional subjects. The program is taught in English and also includes portfolio and university guidance.

Through interdisciplinary integration, the school shapes students' cognition. We teach not only the skills but also focus on the mindset and the ability needed by artists and designers. We are committed to providing Chinese students with a stellar art education.
