We’re extremely excited to welcome back our returning students and also to embrace our new families to our community in August. All of our students will have an incredibly busy year ahead, with multiple events scheduled across the year.
While some of our students have already been actively involved in our collaboration trips this summer by way of the NAE-UNICEF summit in Houston in June, we have plenty more lined up. Some of our privileged students will be heading to Massachusetts, USA to take their place on the MIT competition winners trip in October. They will head on an incredible trekking trip to Switzerland in September, while some others will head to the country’s slopes again in January for a snow sports expedition. Just before Chinese New Year, another group will head for an incredible service project trip to Tanzania.
Closer to home, our students will again travel across Shanghai and China on a variety of enrichment week and residential trips, STEAM days, MUN meets, and social impact projects, while our younger children will enjoy exciting visits to places like the aquarium and other sites. We will also continue with our popular Industry Expert Sessions across the year, inviting experts from a broad range of workplaces to meet our students. And of course, our ASA programme will start in early September, offering a massive selection of activities for our students.
On campus, this coming year will include our staple events of our Welcome Back Picnic in September, Halloween in October, Bonfire Night in November, Christmas Fair in December, Chinese New Year celebrations in late January, and our Spring Fair in April. These will be supplemented with multiple parent lunch days across the year, campus access weekends in September, October and April, and other events directly arranged by our wonderful Parents & Community Association.
Our sports teams will be very busy with a huge selection of fixtures already added to the calendar. They’ll be taking part in a range of CISSA and SISAC Shanghai league events and then multiple FOBISIA fixtures both in Chinese and around Asia. We’re also excited to welcome back our Nord Anglia Games programme this year.
It’s sure to be a busy year and we hope you and your children are raring to go when they return to school in August. You can track our calendar throughout the year for a full programme of events - scan the code below to learn more:
